#Vinesauce #MarioGolf - Hry
"Do you know why Luigi always has spare pants when he goes play golf?"
"Because he makes a hole-in-one."
This is an official, paraphrased Nintendo joke, if you don't like it, Nintendo will go to your house and activate the drift on your Joycons
Every game with miis but without miitopia's editor is going to seem primitive in comparison
Damn shame you can't play as $19 Fortnite Card in this one.
For real, Nintendo should just drop Miis if they won't commit to the make-up and hair
Kinda hate the fact that the Miitopia editor was used exclusively for memes and references.
@@diegomedina9637 I hate to break it to ya but 95% of pop culture mostly consists of memes and references.
@@diegomedina9637 Honestly what else would people use it for, the only other option is self inserts really
The Mii that Vinny chose is what he actually looks like in real life, every video and picture we've seen of him has just been a deepfake of an amalgamation of multiple Italians
Plot twist: Not only are the videos and pictures of him fake but the mii is actually based off of a mask that vinny wears. His true form is so handsome that mortal eyes cannot handle it therefore he must hide it.
FUN GAMER FACTS:
Vincent (Vinesauce) is an amalgamation of every Italian who has ever existed generated into a singular Italian by a deepfake AI. This is because Vinny is Italy itself given blood and flesh.
Thank God, he's so much hotter now
@@shinybreloom4027 New VineLore
When it comes down to it, aren't we all almagamations of multiple ancestors (Italian or otherwise, depends on our backgrounds) throughout history and time?
Gotta love how Waluigi is petty enough to tackle into Luigi, yet BOWSER and Mario are civil enough to wait until the playing field.
Waluigi is the kind of petty. He lives and breathes it
Their rivalry has standards
Bowser’s had the most character development out of any other in the series.
Walugi commits tax fraud. He has no morals left. The man is truly fucked in the head.
Look, Luigi really, really sucks. You'd wanna tackle the guy too; plus the race had already started- it's fair and reasonable! :D
The fact that Nintendo put the option of turning Toad's comments off means that they are aware of the annoying existance of that infernal being
indeed
I was hoping that he would play this. Any excuse for him to use his mario and luigi voices is fine by me.
I was searching "vinesauce mario golf" last night in anticipating
Hot Take: I actually prefer Vinny's Charles Marinet Mario voice over the DiC ones
Vinny has been saying he was going to play this for months. lol
We also got the rotation word as a bonus.
Anything?
"Mario is breathing but his face isn't moving"
Oh god I can't unsee that now.
when's that?
@@satoruriolu6132 just before the 9 minute mark.
It's like he's got a gyroscopic magnet brain.
That intro reminds me of how Mario Power Tennis had like a five minute movie attached to the front.
Especially that little shrug at the end by Mario
That short was and remains a fantastic short film
This one is far less charming, but there was definitely a attempt at least, which is more than I expected.
@@jobobbob5825 i also want to point out that Mario Tennis Aces also got a story intro in an update (at least, an expanded story intro compared to the og one). The attempt to get the feel of the old GameCube cutscenes is apreciated after they stopped focusing on them arround the Wii era.
Pretty sure all the Mario sports games by Camelot have a long intro movie.
Skulluigi gets bitten by a radioactive Adam Sandler and gains golfing powers.
This is like the first ever Mario sports game that classifies Mario (and Luigi) as anything but all-arounders. They decide to make the iconic twin brothers Speed types. Ironically, Wario and Waluigi instead are the staple All-Around characters.
Toadstool Tour actually had something really similar to this, although they didn't actually label the characters as 'Speedy' or 'All-around'. Mario was one of the strongest characters, whereas Luigi was weak yet had almost the best control. Meanwhile, Wario and Waluigi, like this game, were both almost exactly average in all stats.
Gonna be real with you Nintendo, making the NPC characters scream YEAH or HEYHEY or whatever every single time a new line of text is displayed is NOT conducive to them being likeable in the slightest.
Mario looks like he's powering up to go Super Sicilian.
IRL headcannon updated. As a half Italian I am pleased I might one day achieve Super Sicilian.
@@goosebyte You'll probably reach Super Sicilian 2.
@@spiralgodking9877 right, the whole half-saiyan boost thing?
@@goosebyte Exactly, man.👍
my head canon is that Skulluigi is Waluigi's weird Scottish uncle who shows up and starts running through all the beer in the house, then drives off in a smart car and crashes it into a tree.
I approve
So basically me IRL. Im the weird scottish uncle
I like this one
A weird uncle and aunt would be really fun new Mario characters. Like Mario and Luigi have a weird, kinda gross, chaotic neutral uncle. While Wario (and I guess Waluigi? I don't think they are related...?) has a actually nice and kind aunt that bakes or something.
And he continues to drink even when they put him in the ambulance. :D
i miss taunt mode so much. i know it was only in the Gamecube one, but there’s just something magical about making a very tense shot and hearing Waluigi in your ear sensually saying “are you sweating?~”
Mario in his zip-down polo kinda radiates some "hey how you doin'" Italian energy.
Stereotyping Italians still fine in 2021 I see.
@@H0VA Mario is a total stereotype of italiens. But he is also just a clichee Cartoon Character. People should stop to be to sensitive about everything. I mean, we german aren't also not mad about this clichee letherpants and beer stereotyp, even it's just and mostly bavaria thing.(except the beer maybe) A small part of germany in a way. *shrug* People just lost theire self irony and just try to bitch about everything. Even comedy stars censor already themself out of fear to get bashed. You seriously wanna life in that kind of future? I mean, some of those stereotypes make us what we are and what we deferenciat from another and our culture. We loose kinda our culture and own identity with that nonsens. 😏 But yeah, most younger people (under 20) don't even will realize that. There is a difference between a normal stereotyp and just hate. People (mostly american and with that the whole western world) don't realize that...
@@H0VA I'm Italian and as far as I know we love the stereotype and find it totally funny. I don't know how italian americans take it, though. However, I think you're a good stereotype of what people nowadays call "snowflake".
@@H0VA italians are not a marginalized group if you didn't know already
@@H0VA Yes.
Vinny really just made an elderly country-club golfer as his character, huh
Skulluigi is only 20… He just looks like that because of stress
He has a kilt.
2:27 not even talking about Vinny here, in-game that was a fucking legendary Toad sound byte and we need it isolated NOW
John grayfruit
I like how he accidentally selected grandpa cotton hill from king of the hill as his mii
"I've killed fiddy men in battle golf"
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who saw the resemblance
Skulluigi is a retiree who accidentally mixed his meds, hopped on his golf cart and is currently hitting gerbils with his 9 iron at PetCo.
Every Camelot game is just another excuse for me to tune into my favorite long-running series, The Misadventures of Wario & Waluigi
I liked their tennis episodes, they're probably the zaniest episodes of The misadventures of Wario and Waluigi
I can still remember the bloopers. 😂
“don’t expect mouth to mouth~”
Waluigi
Skulliligi strongly hates oranges due to them being involved in his parents death in the 1990s
100 oranges pushed his mother and father off a cliff
Truly like cruella has shown no villains are actually born that way, they merely have their parents yeeted off cliffs at a young age by the thing they hate 4head.
Skulluigi suffered from Skullitis and needed a transplant. Little did he know that he would be given his mother and father's skulls.
Maybe since he hates oranges so much by extension he hates Sponge as well?
Skulluigi's teeth are in constant pain and their jaw is locked in place from Scurvy, after refusing to eat oranges for several years
Of course Waluigi is a fedora guy
Mwaaah Laaaetie
It's a shame fedoras got so bastardized, they can look good.
@@sneezebiscuits7239 especially on this regular platypus I found
Toadstool Tour also only had 6 courses (plus a 9 hole, 3-par only, course) with no story mode.
People think old Mario Spin-offs were better for some reason, but they've been the same for 20+ years now
Noslalgia, basically. Like, I got when people complained about Super Mario Party having less boards and being too simple compared to previous Mario Party (that was the case probably because they added a bunch of unnecessary modes instead) but this stupid "noT eNoUGh ConTenT! X MaRiO SpInOfF fROm tHe PasT wAs WaY bEttEr!" in this game is stupid at this point.
@@jowysw Switch golf is missing a few things, like being able to adjust a little flag on the power meter to the strength you wanna aim for, and the camera system from GCN, which was much better, is also left behind. Music is as generic as aces was, while GCN was full of bangers in both sports. and the courses, while great, aside from Bowser's none of them really feel like they'd be out of place in Wii Sports or something
Still a hella fun game but the old ones did have some things that the new one doesnt. Won't stop me from putting lots of hours in it but there is something left to be desired
@@mario4154 I personally love Super Rush music but personal taste I guess.
My point was more about people saying that games like Toadstool Tour have more overall content than Super Rush, which is not as clear.
@@jowysw Super Mario Party is fun, but really lackluster. 4 average to bad boards isn't good
@@trueblade3636 They focused a lot on extra modes instead of going all in with the main board mode while also making the boards on the main board game small (maybe due to wanting more chaotic gameplay?).
The coop mode, the rhythm one, all the minigames with the Switch gimmicks, the 4 player co-op mode. Too many modes. Maybe now that the boards are from old games this won't be an issue.

Notskulluigi was an amazing golf player, but when he tried out battle golf for his first time, king bob-omb blew up right in his face which caused his face to to alter and made all his golf skills go away. He left to Bonny Greens as a new man, Skulluigi. That is my lore
About the accuracy thing, I have seen Mario Golf speedrunners play this and there actually are accuracy stats. On the bar, the red lines on the side indiquate it. And there are also different ways you can adjust the balls trajectory. The system seems to just be different. Reviewers just did not get deep into it.
I'll be honest I think that most game reviewers do not get that deep into the games they play because they want to get the review out as fast as possible compared to other reviewers.
@@shinybreloom4027 Journalism is dead, most game "reviewers" are just low IQ troglodytes. They want a free game so they slob together a fast 20 minute video to get the ad money. They just don't care.
The red lines increase in size depending on the club you use, and in what terrain you're on (rough/bunker increases the size, fairway decreases it). The lines can affect the balls trajectory and apparently power as well, but I haven't noticed it myself.
@@shinybreloom4027 I can understand that viewpoint. There isn't really an excuse for this here though since there is an extremely detailed tutorial section that guides you through all these things. All they had to do was to check it. Same with the camera zoom features. Some reported that they got cut from Toadstool tour yet this is not true.
Nowadays, I find reviews and first impressions from people who are involved in the community more useful than reviews that gaming sites write because I am more likely to get an accurate evaluation of the game.
The point is not that there isn't accuracy, it's that they removed the user input for it and instead you just randomly get fucked, which is the worst design choice I've seen from nintendo in a long time, and that's saying a lot.
Skulluigi is Waluigi's grandfather. He works in Detroit as a paperclip salesman salesman. That is to say, paperclip salesman hire him to advertise them as a reliable source of paperclips. His favorite food is scungilli but they don't serve it in Detroit so he makes it himself using random snails that he finds on his walks to and from work. He doesn't own a car.
Glad Camelot still has their quality openings
Shame the quality of the games is still steadily dropping.

Mario golf on the 3ds should be the gold standard for the franchise. It had some generic courses but a lot of amazing mario themed courses and 6 DLC courses. Online was decent (for a golf game) and it had a decent amount of modes for variety. Only thing that under delivered was the campaign but it really was a step up from toadstool tour imo.

The xc golf was annoying for sure. Overall the game is fine it's exactly what I expected basically Mario aces I didn't think they would put a ton of effort into it.

For the lore I got, he’s Sponge’s distant cousin. Sponge doesn’t like to talk about Skulluigi that much, explaining his absence.
I can’t wait for Skulluigi to get a following, lore and Wikipedia page like Sponge.
Few facts known about Skulluigi:
1. He's not Italian, he is Romanian.
2. Follows a mysterious cult.
3. He invites Sponge every year to visit his aunt in Romania, but sponge declines politely every time.
4. He finds Toadette lowkey attractive.

So, how was that hot sauce?
I do wonder what’s happening with that Isaac recording from after mighty goose, I mean, he said he was also playing that that day, kinda thought we’d see it yesterday but idk what’s going on
The hot sauce was an experience, alright. It reminded me of Satan’s Blood: first time isn’t so bad, you have some more out of cockiness. And then the back of your throat wants to kill you, you’re dribbling snot everywhere, and your stomach is doing a tarantula-style death curl. Lemme tell you, I’m never taking yogurt for granted again, same for charcoal tablets. The chocolate protein shakes honestly may be upstaged by the yogurt for this capsaicin damage control role now.
I was wanting to have it eventually regardless, and now the Isaac stream will be more rewarding because of it. I have no regrets.
Also yeah it tasted really good. The taste was eventually overwritten by the pain but that zesty zing + nice consistency with the sauce’s texture itself was a treat for my first go.

Another thumbs up for Camelot here! I hope they do DLC like they did with Aces!
ADDENDUM: 3:00 Okay, here’s the thing, and I hope Camelot does or has done this (haven’t seen all the features in Free Play mode)! In Adventure Mode, they introduce different golf games that, as far as my knowledge goes, aren’t playable in free play: there are some games that relies more on survival than competition. I hope Camelot can bring those games into Free Play since they already coded them in. Also more Battle Stages: there are only two.
At Nintendo’s E3 presentation, Nintendo announced that the game will receive free updates, such as new courses and characters! They also showed off a New Donk City course, which seems to be for Battle Golf instead of the other modes.
Just so people know, Toadstool Tour only had 7 courses. Super Rush only having 6 to start with kinda sucks, but we know it'll end up with more than that after the free dlc levels. It's a really fun game, especially when you have friends to play with, and it sucks to see people refrain from picking up the game based on less than perfect reviews.
When Vinny mentioned it at the start, I thought, "But didn't Toadstool Tour have like the same amount?" Yep. Close enough.
When a Mario game is a 7/10 based on several reviews suddenly it’s the worst shit ever and Nintendo has “fallen off”.
Hey John Fullsauce, I play these videos at work on 128kbps mobile net, I dunno what Vinny's settings were like today, but I was able to listen to this without any buffering. It was awesome.
Lovin' this series so far!
The highlight reel for this is gonna be awesome.
Vinny you have no idea how much your content has saved my life. I was in a deep deep depression and then I found you're video game content and that cheered me up. But then i discovered your music and i couldn't stop crying. I am a musician to like yourself and listening to your music was the biggest reason for me to start recording myself. I hope you know that you are a wonderful person and to always stay who you are. Thank you for being born.
0:40 Boy am I glad these two are back with their bullshit. Loved their antics in Mario Golf and Mario Tennis during the gamecube era
Waluigi looks like a 50's gangster.
Why is "only 6 golf courses" the complaint I'm seeing most with this game, or am I missing something? MG64 had six courses (+2 mini golf), whereas TT had seven (though I barely consider Congo Canopy a traditional golf course).
Hey you're not allowed to point out gamers selective memory and hypocrisy! Lol
@Evan Rosato they already showed off the new donk city course as apart free updates and it is likely a full course!
@Evan Rosato I'm sure they will! Look at all the free shit in animal crossing! Look at all the free shit
I can't speak for myself, but I think the main issue people mean when they bring it up is that it's the same amount of courses as from the N64 game, and less than the Gamecube game, despite the fact that with new hardware advancements and developments in the series, people would expect more courses. It's like getting sushi from a chef before and after they spend 20 years training, and they taste pretty much the same.
