This was my first attempt at macrame and I'm a little disappointed. I guess my spacing was off or something because I ran out of rope (by a lot) in the center so I couldn't finish it properly so I don't know what to do. I only had enough rope to finish the 6th row (3 leaves). But I had a LOT of excess rope on both sides. I think I should have started off with longer ropes in the 3 middle sections or something. It looks like I will have to undo everything and I don't think I have enough leftover rope to make the center sections longer. I think I would need to make them each about 16 feet instead of 13. Did anyone else run into this problem?

Where do you get your cord? My local craft store has this plastic like cord so it's hard to work with

Just adding that I went on CZcams and found a way to add additional rope to the short pieces.
This happened to me on my first attempt, so I made the middle six cords longer on my second attempt and I still didn’t have enough! 🤷🏼♂️
I can only find 3mm cord. Can I use that size instead? If I can, do I need to add more cord to make it wider?
If I were to use a 1ft dowel would i use fifteen 7.5ft cords?
