Pixar LAVA

Hawaii’s beauty has inspired artists for decades, resulting in photography, painting, jewelry and, most recently, animation. James Ford Murphy of Pixar Animation Studios found the scenery of Hawaii so alluring, he created and directed “LAVA,” a musical love story set in the Islands. Working with producer Andrea Warren, Jim tells the story of a volcano’s search for love. Let’s hear how they brought “LAVA” to life.
