I've never seen someone almost "rock out" to classical music like this while playing and I love it.
That's cuz classical music rocks! Sad that too many don't know that. No popular music can reach the highs and lows classical music does. This Liszt Rhapsody is a clear example.
Such light and sensitive octaves at the beginning of that section even though they are so difficult. Absolutely amazing.
Thank you!! :))
7:11 hurts so much more after such a performance...
😂
I played this song and my right arm was literally gone.
@@susfranzliszt which one of the two that you had? You surely had an extra one
It'sMeAbi underrated comment
You play so well and you have the cutest head movements and expressions as you play! You appear to truly love the music you perform.
GG! Gifted George!
Passion of an old soul. Within you George. Fantastic
Thanks Fay!
Fantastic, absolutely awesome, mesmerizing, George again proving he's a world class master. I'm going to put this on repeat for the rest of the day. .....well done George
Thank yooooouu John 😀 😀 😀
Yes, George is a world-class pianist. Super, George, thank you!
Thank you for a new and mesmerizing experience.! I have never heard a Lizt piece so beautifully phrased and artistically interpreted. Your combination of technical ability and artistic delivery would score a 10.0 in the Olympics. I Look forward to your further advances!
Such a completely unique interpretation, yet very faithfully and tastefully so! This sort of stylistic precision can only be achieved with an insanely detailed knowledge of the piece.
George, it’s Richard. I know I wrote a comment three days ago, below. But I can’t stop listening to your recording of my favorite of Liszt’s Hun. Rhapsodies, the No. 6. When other’s play it, they seem to play it without feeling, similar to I believe Liszt meant it to be played-just a fun piece. But you add such dimension to it-feeling and emotion. Which is why your rendition runs an extra minute longer than even the more seasoned pianists’ do. That’s what I love about yours. The passion, the longer breaks between each part, until the final part which I deem to be a cadenza whether it really is or not. In fact, I am downloading this so I will have it at my pleasure. Aren’t you about ready to record an album, yet? Maybe it’s not time, but your fans would surely buy it, or stream it. Climb that ladder, my friend.
Bravo! The best interpretation of this piece so far. I’ve compared it with that of six other pianists but only he made me hear depths and nuances that I didn’t detect in the others’ performances.
💯. Felicidades. 🎹 Yucatan Mejico. 🥰
Exceptional and incredible. Those octaves...
Thank you!!!
Handsome man with amazing talented.. I hope someday my child will be like you...
EXCELLENT!!!!!
Thank you!
Wow., oh, wow, George. Hello, George, It’s Richard who is now all choked up. Believe it or not, I am listening to an album containing all, and I do mean ALL of Franz Liszt’s works, and just last night and will today continue to listen to his 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies (I think I recall he wrote 19 and apologize if I am wrong) and listened to number 6 about five times. I actually thought to myself if only George would play and post this piece to CZcams, how I would love to hear how he play this.
And, here you are, doing must that. Of course, it’s not his most famous HR, but in my opinion, his most challenging becuase as you know, fun to play and equally to by the listener because of the cadenzas that abound in this piece. (If the readers of my comment don’t know what a cadenza is, let’s let then look it up in a dictionary). And, George, you do it great justice. When you reply to this, tell me and the others that might read your reply, did you find this difficult to learn to perfect? I never could when I played piano. Too much above my ability, and as I said once before, I left the piano for the pipe organ which is my favorite of the two to play. Again, thanks for posting this. As I read yesterday right after listening to my copy of all Liszt’s works ( and still doing so), I learned he wrote these not only to push music in favor of the music from the country where he was born, but just to entertain becuase the cadenzas give the player a puzzle to learn and the listener music to have some lighthearted fun as well.
Alfred Brendel, I feel certain you remember his recordings as a pianist, plays his Rhapsodies to perfection. I never believed I would hear anyone play any of them, especially No. 6 as well much less any better, but I have do so in the talents of Lang Lang, your friend and maybe mentor, and now you-a gift from God in Heaven to us on Earth. One day, I hope you record all his Hungarian Rhapsodies, just for fun after you record some others first. I want to start hearing you one EMI, Sony or Deutsche Grammaphon really soon. Continued good luck in the really big and important halls and thanks again for your posts.

Wonderful!!! Saludos desde México, George.😊
Magnifique ❤️
Thank you Ly!!!!
I put on your music this morning, and the cat came. The spider came to listen. I saw a woodchuck waddle under my bushes yesterday. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was also trying to get in to hear your beautiful music.
Thank you Marci!!!!
Молодец. 👏👏👏😘😘😘😘😘
Thank you!!!!
Ciao George! E' sempre un piacere sentirti suonare! Bravo tesoro!!
Thank you Michael!
Ce jeune pianiste m'impressionne beaucoup !
Thank you so much Camille!!!
BRAVISSIMO George, hai scatenato la tua tecnica e la tua interpretazione.Mi ha colpito molto la parte centrale, tempi molto vari e affascinanti, nobile, triste e sensuale nello stesso tempo.Ultima parte spavalda e ironica.Molto coinvolgente come tutte le tue interpretazioni.
Thank you Roberto! 😀😀
Bravissimo, molto naturale
Thank you Alessandro!!
impareggiabile
grazie Gius! 😁
Holy Shit you're talented !
🙏🙏🙏
Brilliant George, loved it! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you Shirley!!! :)))
George en Fuego!!! Your arms must get so tired when rehearsing that ending.
Hahaha..... I am used to it now 😅
You seem to have been inspired by that other George--what was his name? .... oh, yeah: Cziffra. Very wise to begin the octave sixteenth section gently and a little slowly, to make sure you have enough strength left to the end. Thanks for sharing a great performance! Best regards, Alan
Thanks for another great comment Alan... I am really pleased that you are enjoying my playing 😀
I'm enjoying not only the playing, but the whole show! That's the great advantage of You Tube over a mere recording. I'm still having difficulty connecting the pianist I see here to that fuzzy-headed little kid who played on the street corners. Amazing what a transformation can be effected with a new haircut, braces, and a pair of contact lenses! (plus a few years, of course)
Very talented. Do you compose your own music would like to hear that
no time 😂
1:04 reference of Chopin polonaise heroic ? :D It's amazing, I hope to meet you a day if you go to Belgium for concert or France :3
Thank you! Tsukiyama 😄
No ;D they're just octaves, in Chopin's Polonaise he uses lot of octaves
How do you play right arm octaves at that speed without arm falling off 😅
Le rire jaune pianiste !
Thank you!
I do really want to know how you played those octaves perfectly!!😁
Slow practise! 😁
Thank you for your advice, George😊I'm currently working on that piece, and my hands really get tired easily because of that repeated octaves😅
Фантастика!.. гениальный пианист!..
Спасибо огромное! 🙏 Я рад, что вам понравилось!
Hey
It never really hits the groove. Meh
Bravo! The best interpretation of this piece so far. I’ve compared it with that of six other pianists but only he made me hear depths and nuances that I didn’t detect in the others’ performances.
Yes! This interpretation is amazing!
Thank you so much!!🫶🫶
