I think for the shounen genre, this Musou type game like Dynasty warrior is still the best game genre to truly fleshed out the strength of these anime characters. Yes fighting game might have crazier and cleaner animation, but boy there's nothing quite like mowing down thousands of enemies using your favorite characters.

Honestly i just love absolutely MOWING through millions of people tbh my only complaint is that there isnt a mega spawn mode where you can just fight hoards after hoards of enemies
My friend got me this game and the sky types are so fun to play, I love dashing around and dealing massive damage with air combos.
the only things I'm still disappointed by is that it had a small roster compared to 3, it was shorter then 2 and 3, and wish it had more of an original story like PW2, and with the new dlc, i have to wonder what will happened to the wano story in this with wano pretty much finished in the anime
It has more characters than 3. PW 3 had 37 characters while PW4 without dlc has 43.
But they reomved some characters that were really loved by the fanbase like Garp or Enel

I liked pirate warriors 2 more, because the story was new (and doesn't need to explain why some characters are missing) and they had attention to detail
Ill hope they add something like flag battles or island battles or something things like what they do in bounty rush would be so cool

Thing with luffy is you can keep one fast attack to keep using and a heavy if you use to luffy which attacks have g2 built in but since when you go g4 bounce or g4 snake they got their own moveset

Been watching the past 2 weeks. I'm on 425 now. It's not taking that long. I'll be done I'll say in another month if I keep up the watching.
It really just needs more missions. Maybe add more of the old arcs to expand the gameplay. Kinda tired of doing the same episodes over knowing gear 5 is on the way. It’ll be fun for a little while but eventually it’ll get too repetitive to keep playing.
Honestly they should make a one piece game where we can Make our own characters and builds , get our own devil fruits and have our own journey, similar to dragon ball xenoverse, I love the story but I want to have my own adventures

I wish they would release dlcs with arcs that were not in the game, maybe with characters or something. Like for example if we get like a skypeia dlc we get the arc and get enel and maybe like wyper. I feel like enel should already be in the game because he was in pw3

If PW5 was to be a thing, it would probably just add the arcs it removed from PW5 such as Fish-man Island, Skypeia, and Thriller Bark. Not to mention all the characters from those arcs they took out as well.
They should’ve waited cuz frfr they did the same mistake with One Piece Pw3 they had to make up an ending now we got so much new additions it’s crazy

Pirate Warriors 5 is such a weird thing to think about because when would they do it? Sure, they could wait a year or two and wait for a few more arcs to come out but at that point why not just wait until the series is over as a whole? I think the dlc with pirate warriors 4 works for now, hopefully they'll add characters from arcs past wano when the anime catches up.
They could focus on previous arcs in pirate warriors 5 and do what the naruto storm series did when they brought back old characters.
How awesome would it be to play as characters like arlong, wapol, Captain kuro, etc. They could also bring back the PTS strawhats with more fleshed out movesets to make fans happy.
I feel a massive open world where players can make their own characters and find fruits would be the best investment they'd make billions ngl

Which type your favorite to use. Power, Speed, Sky, or Technique?
Me personally I choose Speed because you can charge your special attacks faster and you have a larger variety of combos to use.

tbh, i only got pirate warriors 4 like a year ago, cause i saw it at a friends place and fell in love on the spot :D
so yeah, i grinded it like a lunatic for about 3 months, now i am casually going back to it like once or twice a week, to calm down after a hard day and don´t want to think much about the game i am playing :D
and its my favourite anime so that helps as well :D

Yeah the smaller enemies in PW4 feel like paper and the music is better in PW3

I just bought the game for $38.00 the ultimate edition its on sale. I just want to play, the Story mode, Mainly.
I played the game on HARD Mode and almost died fighting Smoker. Took me 23 mins to beat.
Does it make a difference in item drop or experience points, if I play the game on Normal or Hard mode?
Also can I swish from HARD - Normal, and not have to start from the begging?

Any last advice/tip, anyone wants to give me, before I continue my adventure?
I'm pretty sure the rewards are the same for hard and normal. Just depends on how much of a challenge you want to give yourself.

Enemy players in Enemy territory move 25% slower
So if your team has captured territory
Speed types and other be would be stopped
There could be items to pick up that temporary buff speed a little for like 5 seconds
Ults stun enemy players if their defence is broken
Capturing the flag is not fast either
So prime time to ult
It could work with a musou spin

@@ItachiUchiha_1724 if they do that they need to nerf the characters alot other wise everyone would just be kaido,katakuri and wb. also 15 ko's is too little they need to make it at least 20 so it can last around 30 or so minutes but its probably not gonna happen the selling point of a musou is the shit ton of enemies the game throws at you. and also buffs are already in game you can find them by beating enemy commanders and in the floor capture the flag is what caught my attention tough i think that would be kinda cool. but hey who know it might be added

You gotta really like one piece to play this joint.
Still hold up would imply it held up to begin with. I'm going to be real, these dynasty warriors reskins are extremely boring after a few minutes. Get past the roster and these games aren't worth the storage space.
It's genuinely sad that One Piece hasn't had a genuinely strong game. The closest to being something worthwhile was Odyssey.
It's actually pathetic that the best selling manga series of all time can't handle making one solid video game that isn't just a reskin of another series.
Naruto and Dragonball can have amazing games that not only just good as video games, but feel like their respective anime.

As a game, it’s fine. As a one piece game, it’s not good. If you want it for the story, you’re playing it for just Water 7, Enies Lobby and Marineford (just marineford, not sabaody because that sucks in game, and impel down because it doesn’t exist in game for some reason). Before I played it I expected to say “That was a fun one piece game” but when I finished I said “That was a fun warriors game with a one piece skin on it”
would be real nice if they stretched it out and turned it into almost a Final fantasy type deal without the RPG fighting u could maybe make a character on a ship of one of the pirates u like and unlock more options further you go in the story ? so many different possibility's !

one piece doesnt 'feel' long, AT ALL, people just look at the numbers and get overwhelmed, THATS ALL,
once your done with one piece, like a drug, youll be begging for more, and yes, ive watched the entire anime, east blue to wano THREE TIMES, although i DID use my time wisely

I actually think PW3 was better. In PW4 the enemies almost seem like paper and you’re basically just flying around the map. In PW3 the characters felt more unique from one another imo. I hope PW5 is a next gen exclusive and they’re able to push the game to its limit.

Pirate Warriors 4 was my first PW games, but boy let me tell you I feel your downplaying this game by saying if you have played one you've played them all, I played Hyrule Warriors, Gundam Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, Samurai, Orochi and Dynasty, for me Pirate Warriors 4 had a way more polished combo system compared to many of the other games, yes it's a simple game and you don't need to do complicated combos, but you can go ham in the game with sprint cancel, taunt cancel, power dash, the heavy dash cancel that makes speed types fly, the gameplay is so fun I'm actually worried that a future game won't have all the cool stuff.

the game's fun to play. but it's bare bones for a OP game and the DLC's also worthless, so far, because none of the new characters is truly implemented into the game. You're the only one who can use them and the AI can't. No new maps, play modes or anything. As someone who likes OP, it's fun to play. But as a game overall, it's pretty fucking worthless and a waste of money.
