pin code activation within family members could be better , which follow alert / notification on mobile phone or connected device at real time . example : john unlock door so the other family member know john unlock the door and how many try he did on pin code , and if pin code exceeds limitation, the door locked and can only be re-activate using backup code or disable from the linked system

What happened to actually ask the users of the product or at least check the reviews of the product instead of just assumptions?

This guy starts assuming a ton of stuff without really asking the interviewer any questions... He's talking like he's the client, when he's the actual designer...
He also parrots on "what is smart" for a good 2 minutes... super redundant information that the interviewer already knows. Part of a good interview process is to assume that the inteviewer was at least some basic assumptions. Not as if the interviewer is 5 years old and you need to explain everything to them. It's a massive waste of your time and theirs.

Sorry, but I don't think this was very good. This is about product design, so what about communication protocols, what type of data is transmitted, where is the infrastructure, what gets sent to the cloud, what type of data is stored... so many better ways to communicate how to design a product. There was far too much time spent on the ideation -- and you left out several use cases such as "dog walker" or package delivery... I think this could've been much better.
