I agree with those who admire this man. Anyone would benefit by listening to his story and his response to the circumstances in which he found himself. Listening to him can’t but leave me a kinder, stronger person.

An amazing and important eye-witness account. Thank you to the foundation for its work in gathering and posting these full length interviews: I consider myself fairly well learned in matters of historical import, including WW2 and the Holocaust, and I have heard through this and other testimonies many facts, both big and small, of context and foreground, that I did not know and never heard about. These testimonies are a great gift to humanity. Thank you to the witnesses and survivors, for going through the pains of retelling and reliving these trying times for us all. We are in your debt. Never again.

Mr. Mason is such a wise man. I am blessed to hear his detailed testimony. This interviewer was wonderful. Mr. Mason went through so much, throughout WWII & the Holocaust. It always blows me away that survivors have such a beautiful outlook on life, after all they endured. They succeeded in building productive lives full of love. Mr. Mason is no exception. You can feel the love for his daughter & wife Betty.

Thank you so much for sharing your life story. I learned a lot from the way you described your inner world. What you have been thinking in the long hours of terrible work and hunger. You had the courage to talk about the pain to see your father suffering and his in seeing yours. It was a moment of great honesty and humanity. Thank you so much. All the best to you and to your wife.

very thorough story with so much inspirational insight. he lost so many family members and bravely carried on. I hope his family grows and grows! 'he cant forget he cant have regrets because he was a good man, achieved the goals he set out to do and is happy about life in the present'. 'dont pick a job that will hurt others' words to thrive on for everyone. they help me really realize Ive raised good people, took jobs that helped people. when I feel lonely and empty nested and lost loved ones I'll remember I did good and be content! thank you Anton

This was fabulous interview with a terrific interviewer. I have to tell you as a woman this man has a certain sex appeal that is my kind of man! Ha! I’m sure his wife would’ve been pleased to know that women all over the world think he is a very attractive gentleman. The way he told his story what’s so interesting and it was so wonderful that the interviewer gave him full reign to tell mini mini interesting incidents. May he rest in peace!Members of his family today I know are extremely proud of this wonderful wonderful man. He had such high morals and I’m sure was admired by fellow prisoners. And he has such a love for his father!

Imagine a world where you cannot ask questions. I can't imagine I would survive long. I am not jewish, (actually, I think I am but this is too long of a story) In college, I was so grateful when I had a jewish person in my classes so I won't be the only one asking questions.

Astonishing testimony... the story itself, so terrible as all the stories are... but also, in Mr. Mason's case, his special lifelong personality. I don't want to cite all the personality attributes that strike me as I write this, after listening closely to his entire testimony, some of it on repeat. It's all here for others to experience. I just want to say that I greatly appreciate the existence of this testimony and that I am grateful to the foundation... to all its stakeholders... for this work. Alas humanity continues to be riven by violence seemingly rooted in the greed and powermongering and prejudice that Mr. Mason warns against.

Such a difference between my childhood and Anton’s. Although religious Catholic, I had lots of Jewish friends because that’s who lived around us. As kids, it didn’t really matter. It was matter of fact. Sometimes the Jewish kids weren’t about because it was a holiday; sometimes the Catholic kids had a Holy Day of Obligation, and the Protestant and non-religious Christians stayed home only on the major Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter. Non-religious Jewish kids also had those holidays off from school. But our play and games were more important than religious things. Whoever showed up to play, played. Sometimes we went to each other’s homes to see holiday gifts, foods, game, so we learned about others faiths.

Fascinating, the contrast between Abraham and Mordecai; and he chose Abraham. Tell only what’s necessary to avoid sin, let God do the rest. IOW, let God take the lead and control, not man.

It's too bad that because of the low volume during that time ,the interview was not loud enough making it hard to hear. No one will ever understand the horrors that the Jewish people endured. I've listened to many hours of testimonies of the survivors of the persecution of GOD'S people.

Wouldn't it have been dangerous for a non-Jew and have put their lives in jeopardy by visiting a Jewish friend in a ghetto and bringing food and other things to help them? Perhaps it was fear that kept their friends away.

I would like to say that those who he thought were Christians but abandoned them in their time of need were not true Christians, those Christians who follow the Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ, and follow HIs commands, to love your neighbour, would have reached out. And in fact many did including Corrie Ten Boom and others whose names are not so well known. Rosie Higgs

If you knew Jewish History, you would know what could happen.
The Crusades, the Inquisition, 1648 massacre in Ukraine, all recorded mass murder!
    How easily we forget?
