There were such melodious songs by yesteryear music directors G.Ramanathan & K.V.Mahadevan & MSV They were outstanding. For example in "தங்கபதுமை " + "முகத்தில் முகம் பார்க்கலாம்" sung by TMS in சிம்மேந்திரமத்யமம் is an epic song. The nuances of these old gems could have also been discussed .But kudos to these two people who are exhibiting the beauty of carnatic based songs. God bless them.
Except ARR. He has created songs in some ragas which no other music directors have tried. Hope Dr. Narayanan will do some programs about ARR's raga based songs one day.

To my limited knowledge, this ragam is meant to depict a happy mood. That would mean the swaras used should be preferably after Ma and up, and in a fast tempo. Yellaam Inba Mayam, sung by Smt ML Vasantakumari is a good representative of this genre of usage of this ragam, which brings out its essence the best. All the songs that you sang were, although using mostly the high notes, were too slow, and seemed to hug a dark/ sad mood, an antithesis of this ragam.

Sir, Raja sir had said Anandha ragam tune was like an exercise (like sarali varisai) which can be seen from your swaras. Can you also sing the notes of the 3rd BGM (2nd interlude) where the notes takes us to unexplored places (may be he skips the Pa and Sa notes during the flute portions)?
ILAYARAJA AND ARR did a big mistake by NOT giving Dr.Narayanan atleast few songs to sing, though he was working with both of them. What you listeners of this program feels about this?
