Anyone that has read her books or listened to her talk about her past would probably get why she chose this song to duet. It also explains why it makes her so emotional. I loved seeing them perform it live together.

That is Lacey Sturm, not his daughter. She is an incredible musician as well. Look her up.

I've been seeing you consistently appear under the comments of Rockville and Sonic Temple just ceaselessly bashing Lacey's vocalics.
To be fair she doesn't sound like she used to, it's been like 20 years and she's got a couple of kids. Additionally scream vocals and harsh technique notoriously grinds down your voice, so yeah her voice control can be Shakey.
But might I suggest that you're clinging too much on the idea of how flyleaf used to sound and the higher pitched razor sharp voice she used to have and it's causing you to be overly cynical about the lacey we now have.
Audio issues aside, her vocalics aren't that bad, sure it's coarse and unrefined - you described it as "blown out" if I remember one of your comments, but that doesn't necessarily mean her current sound is bad. Flyleaf fans never were drawn to lacey because of pitch accuracy and vocal proficiency, but because of that raw visceral passion and fire- and how crazily dynamic her voice can still be. She was never Kristen May, and perfection was never the point with her voice in my opinion. I recommend you check out some of her solo work particularly a song like Reconcile or Wonderful, her voice still sounds great when it's not being forced to sing these high pitched power ballads from her youth years.
Besides Pat, Jared, Sameer and James are still rock solid.
      There's still rock solid,
Look on the bright side a little😅

@@popcorn_showers what I hear is a bunch of excuses for her shitty vocal performance and I have heard her new stuff and I think it's awful.
This is coming from someone who used to be a fan for a long time aside from the terrible performances her constant Bible thumping is a major turn off too, ecspecially since the guys themselves are no longer religious.
I'm sorry but her voice is not good, as a singer myself it pains me to hear what she's doing and I know it's not healthy for her voice, she should go see a doctor in my honest opinion.

@@popcorn_showers she may sound a little off here but she also just finished a full set five minutes before breaking benjamin went on stage so she had to run to main stage after a great show in the heat who wouldnt sound a little off
