He just made the inside of the bed like the wall he walked through to leave. Rendering it intangible. This made the remaining outside layer of the bed very light.

Jokes aside though, the bed closet and book case combo is pretty incredible, the secret gaming compartment is definitely not working but you could easily push the book case back under the bed and then extend the work desk underthe bed for a more realistic build.
