    To me the lamppost creates a split between a close up of a couple and a landscape view of a public place. Was this ever mentioned by the artist? Wonderful painting.

    I agree this painting is a masterpiece and I love it also! It uplifts me and I am interested in making a diamond mosaic painting of this or a paint-by-number or maybe to try a reproduction of it myself for stress relief as it is public domain I can post pictures of it online. :)
