- Monterona is a wonderfully charming cozy game about building little Italian streets. There are no goals, no time limits, no points, it's just for the joy of building, and it's fantastic!
It turns out that we're the imaginary friend of a young lad who is going to travel to Italy to visit his Nan (his Nonna!) and he's got a picture of what Italy should look like from reading her letters.
We begin with a totally empty space and have the freedom to place things like houses, water, grass and paving onto the jiggedy-jaggedy floor spaces.
Then we can add all sorts of extra bits and bobs to our little town, such as light sources, plants, furniture, vehicles and even people! And to make it even better, these items change depending on where we put them and how big we make them!
Put a window on a building close to the floor? It becomes a door! Increase the size of a plant? It becomes a tree! Place a light source on the floor? It becomes a lamp! Place a light source on a table? It's now a candle!
Oh and there are lots of different types of plants too, which is aces.

What will be in the game
Decorations adapt to their surroundings - pick up a tree, put it on the table, and it becomes a flower in a pot. Put it back on the grass and scale down - voila, you get a bush.
First-person mode allows you to walk on the streets you build
You can place little characters to bring your dioramas to life and better match the story.
You can see how others build the same story and share yours.
Each story features unique decorations and characters.
Community stories and sandbox mode to play after you finish the main story.

Cute game :3 I love the story aspect. I really hope you can put people in the water and make them swim, that would be adorable. Put them in cars, on scooters, make them water the plants, oh what fun that would be.
Gooosh I really loved this, and I totally support you revisiting it when the full version is out! Keep on Keeping On, Penge, and thank you so much for doing what you do~! And thank you for giving me yet another game to wishlist!
It would be nice if the cars turned into boats on the water.

Hello Mr. Penge! Ebba here (signing in as hubby still). This was so fun and relaxing to watch. Relaxing is what I needed!
I also wanted to let you know we are alive and well. We finally have our own internet at last... so now we will be able to do online things again more regularly. But we still haven't had time to upload.
Living in an RV has changed a lot since we were last in one... 12 years ago! For instance yesterday we had to drive 2 hours to finally be able to fill our propane tank (which keep the fridge and freezer cold)... and it took over 3 hours to find this place! Challenges abound for us. LOL Today we have to drive back to where we were yesterday.
Anyway, it was lovely to hear your voice again. I have missed being able to watch any of your videos... or even to only watch a bit and then the internet would cut off (when we had to use other internet hookups). Having our own is so much better. Take care my friend. I shall return at some point... promise.
Ebba! Gary! Hello! It's a delight to hear from you. I often wondered what you were up to. I did ask after you on your update video on your channel, someone helpfully let me know that you were OK.
Sounds tricky living in an RV, I'm not sure I'd cope very well. Still, I suppose you get to drive around and see some sights, even if your fridge and freezer might be getting a bit warm...

It's certainly up there with the Pengeiest of all the games, you're not wrong!
You should try Paralives when the demo comes out next year! It is a life sim game but the game build mode is very similar to the one in this game
