I got an aggregate of 78%, and aps of 38 in grade 11
Do I stand a chance for provincial acceptance?
Hi Akhona, thank you for watching, please email your subjects and grades to silverstreamlearning@gmail.com, so that I can advise.
UCT is great, but students and lecturers MUST get (FULLY) Vaccinated quickly! One more thing, being a UCT student is
wonderful and cool I find the General mainstream medicine curriculum, to become a General Practitioner Doctor is very prestigious.

What if someone didn’t meet the minimum requirements at the end of grade 11 but they do exceptionally well throughout matric... do they still stand a chance of getting in?
Hi Yandi, thank you for watching the video. Yes, grade 11 results are only used to give provisional acceptance, but ultimately it is the final grade 12 results that determines the final offer. So if your final results are exceptionally good, then you definitely have a chance to receive an offer.
Please be reminded to subscribe to the channel and like the video.
So do you apply with bad grade 11 marks to get conditional acceptance or you must apply after grade 12 with the good grade 12 marks
What if I wrote IGCSE. Are the requirements still the same and where can I find more information about international applicants?
Good day Dithunya, please send me and email to silverstreamlearning@gmail.com and I will forward you some info.

Hi Debrah ....please send me a email on silverstreamlearning@gmail.com.
I get 80s for my subjects and I really want to apply to UCT but the only problem is that I do not have residency. Im Cuban with a student visa. What are the chances they will accept me?
Hi Vanessa , thank you for watching the video. Please send me an email to silverstreamlearning@gmail.com.
Those requirements are extremely low. What happened to minimum 6 distictions from back in the days? I will not allow a surgeon to work on me who was only required to know 50% of what he needs to do. But thanks for the warning. Means one will have to check the year your surgeon was qualified and the medical school.
Hi Neil, Thank you for taking the time to watch the video, I appreciate it.
It goes without saying that meeting minimum requirements s not guarantee entrance. Also, I think that you forgetting that the applicant will need to complete 6 years of training + 2 years of internship and 1 year of community service before being a 'full-fledged' doctor. Becoming a surgeon will take another 4- 8 years of specialization. UCT has consistently been ranked the top medical school in Africa, and in the top 130 Universities in the world. So I don't think you need to worry about the quality of graduates coming from there.
As I said, I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and comment. I'm just trying to do my part in providing information to our communities. Please like and subscribe to my channel.
Can you take a gap year then apply with grade 12 final marks

Hi saint, it would depend on a number of things. But generally that is allowed. You would need to meet all the requirements though including nbt results
