It must have felt amazing to finish building this
I thought a scarab was piloted or controlled by hunter worms
i think the worms only control the legs while the gun itself is controlled by the pilots.
They're actually called the Lek'Golo.
They do control it and most of its movements that’s why it acts animal like with its movements but it does not fully control the scarab their are still some pilots to help guid the scarab.
In game the scarab isn't operated by pilots, it was made out of a species called letgoloo worms. The worms are the same seen on the hunters. Just pointing out, it would be really cool if instead of that cockpit they put like a panel with a bunch of the worms and some control panels.

in the halo 3 version but in halo 2 there are two pilots although they are standing

I found this at a garage sale and the lady was selling off her son's stuff and she sold it for to me for $60, all peices were there but no figures still worth it.

Man its so long since ive even thought about this channel. This channel was gospel for me and determined what i bought for my birthday and christmas. I was so hyped for this set and whrn i built it i stopped playing with this stuff about a month later but i sometimes wish that i spent more time playing with these and building the ones that i still havent built
I find the new figures I rebuild from scratch and are of my own design are the ones I love the most (like my custom mantis and mech figures) and the ones built from the instruction booklet I eventually lose interest
im pretty sure mega bloks would know that the scarab is controlled by lekgolo and not people

Not at all. it's just a shorter way to say it. And, some people get offended when it comes to Christ, so they say X-mas. It's almost like saying Happy Holidays.

There's just one little error (in my humble opinion) in the instructions with regards the way the rear engine section and housing meets the uppermost deck.
It seems they have a cross section set one stud forward, but makes the sections join together slightly oddly.
Just needs bringing backwards one stud to make it fit a lot better.

It appears to be missing its plasma turrets on the side.... I know this because in halo Reach I was killed by them like 7 times.

The Prophet wouldn't really need to stand up, as he didn't stand until the end of Halo 3, where he wasn't a hologram.

This is probably the coolest set I have ever seen and it seems very realistic compared to the actual one in the game :) :)!!!!!
Would love to see how you could mod the legs joints Jang so that you could simulate a leg joint being blown out and the Scarab lowering down so you can hop into the back to gain access (possibly using clear bricks to support it at that odd angle temporarily)

OMG I'm so excited for this set!!!! (yes I know it 2015 and it is a old set😂) but anyways I was looking on Toys"R"Us and well I found it, BUT IT WAS ONLY $150!!!! So now for Christmas I'm getting two scarabs, master chief mini figure, arbiter mini figure, warthog with master chief and arbiter, a ghost, and that little ship that comes with the prophet of truth (forgot what it's called) but anyways thanks so much for this review Jangbricks!!!! This review really helped me know what I'm buying and well I've only got one word on my mind after getting all of this stuff..... BUILD!!!!

So I just got this set and it had the worst packaging mistake I have ever seen. Ya know how it comes with two boxes with different parts in each of them, well I got two of the same box. I only have half of this thing and I spent a lot of money on it. Emailed them about this and now have to wait for a response to see if there is anything they can do about. Given how old this set is, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they say they can't do anything about. And you just know that there is someone else out there who got two of the other boxes, or maybe its still out there waiting to be sold. Well, hope everyone else has better luck than I did should they manage to get this set.
When I bought the spirit dropship I was missing an entire bag. I messaged them and they sent me a handful of the wrong pieces. Ended up giving the set away because it pissed me off so bad

Holy crud, I just spent 30 hours over 3 weeks building this behemoth, glad I did though! It looks epic.
I built it in 2 days, 8 hours building all the legs first day and about 8 more hours building the body and turret. Still kinda achy from sitting on the floor that long.

I have been waiting ages for covanent vehicle to be presented as a model construction toy
This is quite amazing and when you think about it is is minifig scale because in the game this walking behemoth is 126.8 ft and a spartan is about 7 ft tall
A couple of these would be perfect for a Halo wars Diorama (As I am currently making!!)
I did some research and found that the scarab in halo 3 is powered and driven by lecgolo worms which means this is a mix of the halo 2 scarab as well only for that reason
