I like how the song changed from "I'll be there soon" to saying he'll be way late-- almost like the song itself is referencing how long people have been waiting for this.

An absolutely amazing song! I learned about Floppy Fish only a year or two ago and was obsessed with it for a time. I imagine it must be super fulfilling for those who've waited about a decade for this song to be finished and released.

I'm wondering if this version will carry the same message (or at least a similar one at best) since we can clearly hear Adam talking about the issues that he’s had with his vehicle however I preferred the old lyrics of the original snippet simply because the song carried a somewhat sad message in a bright tone and if I'm gonna be honest I think everyone will probably experience someone disappearing from their life for no reason at some point or another and it's unfortunate but we'll probably never know why they leave. One moment you're the best of friends then suddenly they're acting like you're just someone they used to know. It's on them of course, but it doesn't change how it’ll impact your life.
I don't know why but the snippet had this type of love energy to it I mean just look at the original lyrics...

The last line which said (Whatever happens, I'll never forget you) which could implie that no matter what happens you'll always remember your best friend (or loved one) and I don’t know about you, but the original snippet makes me think of my girlfriend and I hoping that that when this new version finally comes on March 1st it'll still carry the tone and atmosphere of the original snippet because I don't want the lyrics in the new version to be too different.
What are your thoughts on all of this?
@dylanbanning I’ve already listened to the full song, but the original does have a relatable tone to it. That’s why I really like Lynz’ version of it!
But I won’t say what Adam did with it as you didn’t listen to it. There’s different versions made by fans you can enjoy, but Adam has done what he wanted with the song as he felt it was right.
I do like the original song idea but this new version is also really good!
