Here we share the experience of a Farmer of Soraba taluk, Thandige village, Shri. Deepak CH, about ginger along with grown areca palm. Farmers choose different intercrops when growing areca nut. Banana in early stage hinders the growth of areca plants. Pineapple is good in first and second year. After 3-4-5 year, Ginger is the ideal intercrop . It gives good profit and also helps to control weed and increases the fertility of soil. One acre of plantation gives 30-40 tons of ginger.
