This makes me want an anime where all the genshin characters go to high school together and play the same RPG game. Like, have the Traveler be a new transfer student and have Paimon befriend and introduce them to the game. Traveler is naturally very good at it (as oppose to Paimon who is the worst player in school) and manages to beat bosses and enemies that only seasoned players have been able to defeat. Along the way they meet people in the game and find out they go to their school. They even run into a strange user who reminds them of their twin, who’s disappearance is the reason to why the Traveler had to switch schools.
This is actually an interesting story, I would totally watch it if it becomes an anime!
I'm sure you can find talented writer writing a GI fanfic with similar plot in ao3, its just that there tend to be some shipping tag involved

I would imagine the Aether of this story is the one who looks after lumine in the dark because he's actually from another timeline/dimension where he's the abyss leader or he's the traveler that manages to secure Lumine (former abyss leader) to a brand new world that is this with the original cast as normal people's and let her enjoy her life here while he continues to explore the worlds beyond Tevyat (other bubbleverse)

that sounds like the perfect plotline; you think it's a simple high school anime but it goes way deeper and ends up connecting to the original genshin world in a sad twisted way, i love that o-o
Could be, or this is the timeline where the world of Teyvat is on far with a modern time of our and the people over there, some can still use their power (My Hero Academia) but because there is no monsters such as Hilichurl or Celestia, or Archon shenanigans the civilization van grown so they do not need for their visual power and instead goes to school.
I mean in Teyvat at least in 3 Nation, school is not mandatory and those vision holder didn't go to one either and instead chase their passion from such young age.
Hu-Tao become director of Wangshen Funeral Parlor before turning Twenty, Chong-Yun risk his life fighting the Abyss that could pose potential miasma on Liyue, Keqing become one of the Liyue most important figures at the age of 17.

I love how you made me feel like Aether and Paimon were from a different universe. (At least that's how I felt)
Really like the way the creator made this video like how all the characters are given modern world equivalent lives to their fantasy ones and then Hua tao being the one who imagined the world of Tevyat and the character design based on her real world friends,it was a really nice touch.And the finally part where Aether comes to connect both worlds and implying both worlds are equally real just *chief's kiss.

I would put Venti as the lazy Janitor and maybe Baizhu as the Supervisor for the Acting class.
Venti is the hall monitor, except he let's everyone pass because 1. He's too drunk to actually stop anyone 2. He doesn't care about what the students do and wants them to be free

Plot twist: this is actually their real life (or is it) and whenever we the players log in and play, they all get isekai’d into Teyvat with only vague memories of their other world and vice versa. Aether and Paimon by some reason to be revealed later are the only ones who can traverse both worlds at will and know the secrets of the two worlds/lives.

Mine is this like after aether save lumine (abyss princess since paimon is behind the curtain as well) he found another world that is similar to teyvat but in modern setting and peacefull, set up base here and let lumine recover there while he explore other worlds (he only showed up when the dragon showed up)
