Elvis himself said that he could never ever make enough money to forget what it was like to be dirt poor💕🕺
The stories of Elvis' generosity are endless.
A couple suggestions for you to react to:
Bruno Kirby Story "The Magic of Elvis Presley" (4:32)
Elvis Presley's Nurse Tish Henley Kirk Interview! (6:07)
That's why we love elvis so much to love.❤
Elvis was and will always be the best, beautiful generous soul
As I write this, Elvis Week is in full swing. Tens of thousands of people from all over the world will be traveling to Memphis. England, Germany, Norway, Japan and on and on. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Aloha from Hawaii concert. Thousands of people will be at the candlelight vigil . One by one each will walk by his final resting place to pay their respect. I can’t be there, but I will be watching the live stream.
He often took time for his fans right before he went on stage. In the part with little Denise you can see him wearing his stage outfit.
He was lifelong friend with the guy in the wheelchair.
Thank you!💚🌞
EP used to have an Open House every Christmas Eve....for everyone! People came in droves....they'd line up & EP would write checks! He gave away more than $100,000 every year on this night! He loved helping people and didn't think anything about writing a check for $1000.00 for a family in need! When word got around of course more people came ...lol. But EP never turned anyone away!
Yes Boo~ it's fabulous that you are able to learn Elvis even after all of these years after his passing.
I always like how E says it's not a big thing, to just be giving and generous as he was! "It's simple!"❤😊👍
Man the world needed him and his unbiased heart!
Elvis also gave so much to help people that was never publicised. One time he was out in Memphis and wanted a soda from a machine but had no cash, a man there gave Elvis a dollar to buy it. Elvis told his body guard to find out who the man was. He then arranged to pay off the man’s mortgage. 👌💕🕺
Thanks for sharing this with us. He was definitely a wonderful person, along with being a consumate performer, gifted with an incomparable voice and beautiful inside and out. I am enjoying your interest and appreciation of this magical prince of a man.👏👏❤️🔥❤️🔥
To me, this film didn't begin to touch on Elvis' generosity. If you ever went in Graceland, the amount of awards, acknowledgments, & stories that are shared in print, they are endless. He didn't want to be acknowledged for most of what he gave. He wanted it kept quiet. He wouldn't even take a deduction on taxes, unheard of. He wanted to pay his fair share to the government as well. I could go on forever about all the stories shared by perfect strangers of the goodness of this man, most of it totally unknown. One of the reasons us fans are so committed to him.
The Elvis Presley Foundation announced during Elvis Week in Memphis that they would be sending a contribution to the victims of the Maui fires. Also the Elvis Presley Trauma Center is still active as is Presley Place for homeless women and children. He gave a way houses and cars to his fans. Another great doc, is "Elvis Presley 200 Cadillacs". Don't forget "Elvis Presley Meets Muhammed Ali". So many great moments, this man gave us. Thanks.
I recommend three short but great Elvis stories that tell a little of who was Elvis and the affect he had on people.
1) Bruno Kirby and The Magic of Elvis
2) Martin Sheen on Elvis, No one knew how to deal with him
3) Elvis as Remembered by Bill Medley
He should be recognised for all the good he did 👍 thanks for sharing this 👌❤️
Elvis: A Generous Heart and 200 Cadillacs are also great. I agree that YT is incredibly helpful for getting easier access to Elvis and other artists. For new and younger fans, it allows them to cut through everything second hand and agenda driven to get the real story or to see Elvis for themselves which is what makes the greatest impact... Elvis himself.
Excellent video, good reaction. A lot of people are unaware of all the good he did off stage.
Elvis also paid all of singer Jackie Wilson's Medical bills, which was stipulated In his will that the payments would continue even after Elvis' Death. The payments did continue until Jackie Wilson died in 1984.
Elvis was the person that paid most tax in the US in 1973.
And he never took tax reductions for any of his charitable donations because he felt that it would mean he was benefiting from his gifts when all he wanted was to help people!! 🙏👌💕🕺
A fantastic Human being & amazing artist ‼️ He did so much❣️💯🌎🌍🌏🥇
Duane, be the first to react on The sound of your cry - (highest vocals in the world)
Beautiful soul loved that you did this thanku so much love an God bless always you rock Duane x
Famous People should always be aware, that what they do has a huge effect on the youth. In my opinion Bling Bling luxury and 'beautiful' looking leads to nothing good.
Trying to treat others, like you want to be treated, leads to many happy friends.
Beautiful reaction!
Thank you so much for diving into his life!💚🌞
Thank u so much for reacting to this! Elvis....A Generous Heart, the short version is awesome! Elvis was so humble and never forget where he came from.
His death date is Aug 16th. Can u check out An American Trilogy Original 1972, it shows the day he died throughout the world and his funeral. ❤️
Elvis was born into poverty and knew how much kindness means to others.
OMG.. My Mama raised me on Elvis.. but listening to this.. Wow... blown away.. had no clue he was this integral to so many charities... this is awesome.. I've always known how much he gave back.. but this is next level... just makes me love his memory even more
Add a couple of zeros to his donations given valuation of the dollar. His generous heart was amazing. He paid Jackie Wilson’s hospital bills out of love for him. ❤
Love Elvis's ❤and love yours.
I'm blown away... I truly thought I knew Elvis... this video has taken my respect for this man to a whole nother level.. I'm in awe... This man was next level amazing.. I have tears right now.. Thank you God to put a man on this earth that just did everything he could with his fame.. even though he was fighting his own demons..
❤️👑❤️
Hey Duane,
Elvis was the most generous and loving person to ever walk this planet. One time at one of his concerts there was a man sitting in the front row and Elvis saw him point at his guitar. Elvis walked over to him and took his guitar off and gave it to him, he didn't want to take it, and Elvis said that maybe it would help him out one day. He took the guitar and saved it until it was time for one of his children to start college. He sold the guitar, for $232,000 or $332,000 I can't remember which amount is correct. Either way that is a lot of money.
FYI: you need to watch the documentaries that Steve Bender (producer of the 68 Elvis comeback special) they will give you a lot of information about the special. 2-3 videos.
😊
Love your reaction ❤
he was the man who help me when I was young (about twelve years)
because of his music by the hearth
You to watch Elvis and the black community there echo will never die
Nobody is perfect! Right!👍
He was a really poor child but he gave things away.
I hope somebody can tell a story. My English is not good enough.
Leonardo Da Vinci was also a philosopher. "Perfect imperfection, is the greatest perfection". Ping, Elvis Presley. 🥃🤙
Love this.
100% thank for this 👍❤️
Thanks to you ! from Canada
Thank you for a great reaction
React to Elvis a Generous Heart to learn more about his kindness
His brother wrote a book ,Life with Elvis
You should read it ,a rap artist said he was a racist ,we need more ,he passed an old black man and woman broke down in an old truck full of wood he picked them up took them to a new car lot bought them a new truck went back and loaded their wood in their new truck
The fact that that plaque has been removed at the USS Arizona Memorial is a crime it should be put back immediately
$1 back then is $12 today so you do the math
Here’s another great short video about Elvis from one of his best friends and employees, Sonny West. czcams.com/video/EskwcM0bjwo/video.htmlsi=J1WHCvx48w5hD7qn
What did he say at the end.. how he was raised.. and it's simple.. I'm thinking it was .. treat ppl the way you want to be treated.. so simple.. don't want to be cliche.. but dang it.. why can't we just get along.. race, sexuality, just agree that we are all different.. the world still goes round. HATE and DISRESPECT.... is the worst thing... I'm a 56 yr old female conservative... it's not in my heart to hate or judge anyone... I just take care of my 82 yr old mom. and blessed I still have her.. not here to take care of world problems.. I wish truly more ppl were like me.. stop stirring the pot and causing more problems.... No hate.. more acceptance
