I looove JapanYouWant! Always my go to. Used to be fully packed with tamas a couple years ago but so empty these days :( hope they get more in stock soon. I was so happy tho to get my hands on the Niziu and 25th Anniversary Smart today with aaalll the other SmaCards!! Can't wait to get it!!

i started playing with the modern devices in 2019, but just now am getting into the older models. not sure i am ready to commit to a full blown collection, but i love playing them and want to experience all the different gameplay variations. i actually just received my first vintage tama in the mail yesterday!! an orange + color. the orange is so cute and vibrant. i'm really excited to start running it.
i know people have a lot of mixed feelings about the pix, but i really love mine. i hope you have fun with yours!!
Nice! The +Color is one of my FAVs! The orange one is beautiful I don't have that one yet!
It is so fun and the buttons are really nice to press for some reason haha. You will be surprised how content rich it is! I found myself running it for a whole month one time and there were still things I hadn't unlocked / tried because it takes time farming gotchi points. It's just so fun!!

Seeing your posts made me get back into tamagotchi and collecting again. It made me look back for my childhood v3.
I'd wish I had gone back sooner, when I was looking at the ons that amazon was still selling them for $60 🥲 I thought it was too steep a price at the time and i didnt want to commit; now most are resold for over $100.
If you're afraid to play a rare shell, put the tama in a ziploc baggie. I do this and they don't get scratched. I also put the screen protector back on when I'm finished playing and have removed the battery. (Jan Griffiths).

The Smart is a great one to start with! It is such a cute game and it's got so much extra content you can buy for it!! I hope you enjoy it 😍
I also have the Royal Family Beach shown at 18:01. I have 2, bought a few years apart. And I agree---it's one of the prettiest tama shells. I like the iridescence of the shell, and the gold trim and key. The only thing I did was remove the lobster claw, and attach the keys with a more permanent ring. This shell design is so awesome that I had to get a second. I remember when it was still a concept, and not yet in existence. (Jan Griffiths).

My favorite part of these videos is hearing you talk about the characters and pronouncing their names. I do my best but it can be really hard to understand the characters and cultural context when you don't speak any Japanese. Granted, it's better now that we have english versions of most of the games, but still it is always informative to hear you talk about the characters in such a casual way.

It's not as chunky as the tama go, but definitely up there. The tama go was my first tama, and it was embarrassing to take to school bc of how big it was haha🤣 it's super round and doesnt have a flat back.

This is a really fun hobby no matter how big or small your collection is ☺️ Sadly I don’t think an English watch will be released 🥲 There’s no news about it atm and Bandai’s next English Tamagotchi is going to be another Pix. I personally love the Smart watch!! It’s super easy to play and Bandai released new watch bands for them recently! 😍

Woahh! I always wanted one of those tamagotchi’s back when I was in 4th grade. I still have no clue what dragged me so much into tamagotchi, but my affection was genuine towards it. However, I never got the chance to get one since my parents didn’t allow me to😅

Hello, do you have a general Care guide for Tamagotchi? I just got one a few days ago. Been trying to research a bit about how to care for it to get good characters. I like your content and love your collection!
Each model has very different game play! So it's hard to provide a general care guide. Best to look up manual of the version you're running on Tamagotchi Wiki, or join Discords / FB groups where other collectors may give you helpful insights 🙂

I don’t know what type of tamagotchi I have because it has 4 buttons- reset, decide, cancel and select. And you don’t raise it from an egg, instead you choose an animal and try to raise it
It seems like you probably have a knockoff tamagotchi game- most normal tamas don’t have 4 buttons… I’m sure it’s still adorable and fun nonetheless!
really late reply but you have a bootleg. to know if you have a bootleg or real, real tamas have 3 buttons and bootlegs have 4 usually. another way to know is most bootlegs have real-world animals and real ones have made up and cute "animals"
