Day 14 of our Walt Disney World & Disney Cruise Line December 2023 vlog series!
Its our last day and a Magic Kingdom day. Normally we start the holiday with a Chef Mickeys reservation but this time we were ending the trip with it instead! We took the walkway from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort.
Chef Mickey's is a buffet style Disney dining restaurant and its Character dining with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Pluto. They had a great selection of food which changes through the day, we had the breakfast option.
The characters were all AMAZING and I didnt know Minnie popped up with Goofy too what a magical moment!
Time to go over to Magic Kingdom theme park for the last time this trip. As I managed to get a return time for Tron, we took the walk down Main Street USA and right into Tomorrowland. This time we rode the front row and found it so much better.
Over to Fantasyland to Journey under the sea with The Little Mermaid as I am such a huge Ariel lover, its a must for any Disney Princess fan. Its a sit down ride in a seashell and we managed to walk straight on!
Back on dry land it was time for the train around the park!
I had to meet Mickey Mouse before we left, he was perfect, he loved my Mickey ears, t-shirt, Loungefly mini backpack and my Mickey Disney tattoo! I also had ears with Walt Disney on! It was the perfect way to end our Disney trip with the mouse who started it all.
We went back to POP Century one last time to collect the suitcases before heading over to Orlando International airport. Travel day back home is no fun! :D
We checked in for our flight then made our way to the lounge to chill out for a few hours, they had drinks and food which was nice. When we checked in for the flight with Virgin Atlantic they said no batteries could be put into the hold, mom has "smart" luggae where the handle has a scale in to weigh it, she was made to remove this battery even though its just a scale for the suitcase that is in built! Very strange as this was fine coming out!
We did get a nighttime meal on the flight back, I went with the chicken! There was a lot of turbulence this time so I didnt manage to sleep much atall, maybe just an hour alltogether. I felt very sick so I didnt have any breakfast.
Back home to the kitties! I was ill for a while so the recap took a bit! My Disney Cruise highlight was meeting Mickey at the beginning and Walt Disney World, I have a few, meeting Molly & Alan from Mammoth Club, spending a couple days with my bestie Melanie, seeing the new Walt Statue and meeting Spirit Elsa!
I am going back to Disneyland Paris with Megan and mom and cannot wait. I hope you all enjoyed this vlog series!

I will confess that I’ve never felt particularly drawn to Chef Mickey’s, since I’m not a big ‘breakfast’ guy…but steak, egg and cheese scramble does sound tasty! 😋 I love how Goofy cleaned off the camera for you haha always look up! We loved being front row on TRON; like you, Katie prefers Cosmic Rewind because she finds the bikes on TRON to be uncomfortable. But she still loves the front row ride for the launch element alone! Mickey never fails to be impressed by your tattoo 😉
Travel home day is always a little stressful, but I’m sorry to hear that your parents went through the added stress of dealing with the smartcases. You likely already know this now, but the smartcases aren’t allowed as checked bags with _most_ airlines in the United States; only as carry-on bags. The reason being, there have been some issues in the past few years with small portable battery packs exploding in the luggage compartment where the air isn’t pressurized (like it is in the cabin) so the FAA (American agency) added batteries to the forbidden item list for checked bags. Presumably that’s why it was a problem flying _out_ of the United States, but not _into_ the United States. Glad you were able to remove the batteries so that it was a non-issue, even if it made the smartcases “dumb” in the end 😝 Glad you had a safe flight and were able to recover your luggage super quickly! We’ve done those overnight flights into the European time zone before…they can definitely be brutal! Welcome home, and thanks for a sharing all these great memories from your trip ✨

Could you do review on your luggage? I saw you have a disney primark suitcase. I want to know if it would hold up as a checked bag.
I can do that, I can show it when I go to Paris later in the year, like a "pack with me" style!
