Thanks for posting this video. Bought a GR a couple weeks ago and picked up a roof rack yesterday. A little concerned about the wear/tear on the rubber seals over time. Plan on putting a little silicone on the lower edge of the clip and the rubber. Ya got a sweet ride
Congrats on the new GR! 🙏🏽 yeah I would differently would recommend to put something there! When I sold the car, I took the roof racks off & it left a mark that needed to be polished off!

I JUST installed these myself too yesterday! You can definitely hear wind a bit but its not too bad. Unfortunately mine came with 2 front left caps so im waiting on a front right cap. Its super easy to install.

Waiting on the GR corolla and I'm not even sure I'll be able to get one later this year with the amount of people on the waiting list but here I am, looking at mods for a car I wont have yet lol.

Good luck on landing your GR, hopefully it's in the driveway. I was able to grab one a couple weeks ago.
The part where you used a flat screw to remove the screw on all four doors and used that hole to align the rack. When placing and aligning the rack to the hole is that part your screwing tight, metal? And will scratch the paint in the inner door?
No It’s plastic and it has a protector on the inside so you’ll be good!
Thank you for the informative video, I just acquired a 2019 Corolla Hatchback SE same color and ordered the same racks. I'm still going through buyers remorse! I paid more for a used car than what it cost new!! My friend says "covid prices" every one is profiteering!! I had a 2009 Honda CRV that was a lemon, I paid close to $4k in repairs in less than 2 years and then the transmission started going! So I traded it in. I always liked roof racks on my cars I think it gives a car something special. Friends always said to get a Toyota so I hope this car last for me, it's a little low but everyone said I will save on gas? Lets hope so.

Did you have an issue with one of the sides not tightening? I just got mine and the front right side won’t tighten or loosen :( maybe manufacturer defect?

Yeah I would definitely recommend springs next! 🔥 I would highly recommend RSR super downs because I personally have a great experience with them! The ride is so smooth and feels super close to stock! I’ve heard great things about Tein! The only reason I went with RSR bc they are the lowest springs on the market!

Advan wheels will look good but if you have more power you can go get some advan SuperLap wheels
The Toyota tool is actually a torque wrench and is designed to pop/click to let you know when you are actually at 3 N.m

You’re using the torque wrench wrong. You’re supposed to turn until it clicks.
This preset torque wrench does not click. You just feel the tool not want to tighten anymore.
@@GeovanisGarage it 100% does. I just used the exact same wrench yesterday. The way you did it, you did not torque it to the specified 3Nm. These are designed to click over and not allow to go past the preset torque, but you have to let it click over. Otherwise it’s slightly under the specified torque.
