Whenever I get a digging kit like this, I fill up a big bowl with warm water and let it soak for a couple hours. Then, I carefully tip out the water and get my item. Works great for me, as I have problems with my hands not working quite right!!

**You could push a heavy,lg sewing needle through the bead real easily..I bought these kind of kits for my granddaughters.............,** I collect real crystals,gems,rocks,geodes so Kali (Maddy and Ashlyn granddaughters) really loves my large collection...Now the crystal kits were purchased at a 5below store ,Walmart etc....Kali loved the kits. One kit I had to premix, set up etc and Kali dug into the plaster after 12+hrs..I like the already to go as she didn't wanna wait until the plaster set...What I did was made my own plaster /paper machae hid my own rocks,gems, crystals ,painted rocks and messages on them..This way the plaster is easier for the kids to get into..Yes only flour ,salt,water etc..I'm an artist by trade, crafter,florist ,cook and baker ,as well I foster and care for all critters..******..Every Sunday the family comes for .*SUNDAY FUNDAY..A large homemade dinner I cook daily but special meals on Sunday..And we all do a craft ,painting,Dig,tie-dye,pearls,jewelry making,Movies ,games,,go donate to animal shelters extra pet supplies,same as people shelters, go visit cancer patients in hosp etc..The home is *A NO PHONE ZONE SUNDAY.*.only to take pics or videos.*******love and light..Lori and Luna 🐾 Pgh Pa.

To all those people wondering if they are real pearls: If it were my kids opening it, they would be real pearls because it would make it more fun that way and they dont know, nor do they care.
Its all about finding treasure and when you are young, anything shinny is treasure.
Now we could tell them they are not real pearls and we would be just digging for a few plastic beads, which wouldnt be half as fun.
Personally I would much prefer to pretend with them and dig out priceless pearls, just like the ones in the video. Wouldnt you?
