Each episode of Pokemon Explained profiles a different Pokemon from the main cast and breaks down its COMPLETE history on the anime, including all of its battles, appearances, character development & significant storylines.

Ash should have battled Lance and had a rematch with Drake (Hoenn) at some point. It would have been cool to see Pokemon like Charizard, Sceptile, and Krookodile take on those dragons.

The Elite Four were never too prominent but I'm happy with how they're used when they were used.
I really liked when Elites got to teach Ash a thing or two. In some writing I've done, I've gotten attached to the idea of Bertha being a mentor + surrogate grandmother to Ash, and helping him push his skills & personal development further.

Ash may be inexperienced at first but he did learn the lesson of humility as character development time to time.
Marshal would be the best option for Ash to have interacted with if had appeared in the BW series, he would’ve had an impact on his growth as a trainer going through Unova. A Conkeldurr vs Pignite battle would’ve been interesting.
I would've liked more Elite 4 battles in general. Seeing Ash beat more of them in Journeys would have been epic.

Idea for a video.
Trainers who could compete in the next World World Coronation Series/Masters Eight Tournament.
Could be a pretty interesting idea to do, plenty of other trainers from the anime who could participate in the next WCS to compete against Ash the next Master Eight.
That could be a fun one! I did a video last year about eight other trainers for the Masters 8 that is similar
People talk about rematches with Alain or Tobias, but I think the one battle we were truly robbed of during Journeys was Ash going head to head with Lance; the top trainer of Kanto! It just makes the most sense because Ash is Kanto born ya know?

Edit: I forgot Siebold, as he only appeared in the first Mega Evolution Special where he defeated Alain and never met Ash.

I got to say this is a really wholesome topic that you chose to focus on! It truly is the story of how an underdog went on to become a world champion! The fact that flint was initially in the masters eight, but wasn’t in it by the time Ash was, prove that beating Drasna was no fluke. I still wish we could’ve seen ash attempt to take on the elite for using Pokémon we believe would be on his ultimate team like Charizard, Sceptile, and snorlax

Thank you Professor! I loved hearing about the Elite Four. Ever since Pokémon Red Version, Lance has been one of my favorite characters in the franchise. Knowing that he, and the other Elite Four members, helped shaped Ash into a true Pokémon master put a smile on my face. On a side note, I have a suggestion that I believe would make for an engaging and informative video for your audience. Team Rocket's Meowth, with its unique backstory and character development, has always fascinated me, and I think it would be an excellent topic for one of your videos. I'm sure your in-depth analysis and commentary on Meowth would provide a fresh and interesting perspective for Pokémon enthusiasts.
Fun 🤩 Fact about the Battle Frontier: in the games including Pokémon Emerald it’s located on an island 🏝️ off the coast of Hoenn and in the anime it’s located in Kanto

I never wanted to be a Champion. I always wanted to be a member of the Elite 4. They were so cool, so here is my story.
In the Ochulu Region, the Elite 4 are known as the four guardians of Ochulu. Inspired by the cardinal points and the four elements: Ground, Flying, Water and Fire. A superior squadron of trainers sworn to embody the power of the sacred dragons that watch over Ochulu.
My Character, Cyan, is the Guardian of the West; He specializes in water types. Cyan is a Water Pokemon Alpha Omega. He is also the Top Coordinator of the Kanto Region. He also served as challenging Gym Leader. Cyan can quickly adapt and change his battle strategy to fit his needs. He knows how to display the beauty and power of water type Pokemon. Because of this, he was chosen to be the Dragon of Water.
Cyan is a gentle, wise, patient and compassionate teacher. His most important lessons are to teach up and coming trainers the importance of facing adversity and overcoming type weaknesses. To Cyan, the key to success is knowing the individual Pokemon's strengths and using them to their advantage. He puts particular emphasis in being able to listen to your Pokemon. The more intune a trainer is with his team, the stronger they will become. And finally, he teaches that loosing is a chance to learn and grow from mistakes and eventually become a trainer stronger because of them.
Cyan is a fierce battler and has taken down many opponents. He relies on three Pokemon the most. He use Gyarados for sheer physical strength and Starmie for special power and speed, but his ace is his life long partner, Blastoise. Cyan's Blastoise is a perfect blend of offensive and defensive power. Many opponents have lost to him. Their bond is so deep, Cyan's Blastoise can mega evolve. He can also gigantamax and terastalize into a dragon type. Cyan's bond with Blastoise is unbreakable and rarely have they ever lost to an opponent, but if they do, they do it with dignity and grace. Cyan's reputation is legendary, but he couldn't have done it without his ace and his team.
Anybody else like it? I'd love to find my fellow elite four members. Here's what I imagine their aces would be.

Dragon of the East: Noizern

Just like in real life when you think you know everything there is someone who knows more. Like the OG WRESTLER Rowdy Piper would say: just when you think you have all the answers someone comes and changes the question. Ash got a life lesson from each and every one of the elite 4 members he's met in his life or just about. It's all about strategy not power. Can't wait to see what awaits ash now

Hey ik you proably won't answer but what do you think about making video like "every time Ash became a stronger trainer" It would be cool to see his evolution from being blitzed by every e4 member, to defeating Cynthia
The E4 should have done more in the anime. We should have actually seen a champion league at some point to really show how powerful they are supposed to be.
Lance was dope though
I agree that Caitlin didn’t contribute much to Ash which always bothered me it would’ve been interesting seeing them actually interact and I see why you skipped Alola while Ash did meet the elite four but they had not yet be formed yet and I would’ve liked of Journeys introduced more of the elite four Members he hadn’t meet as they could’ve helped his team like Wikstrom and Drasna did like Phoebe or Shauntal could’ve helped Gengar Mashal could’ve helped Lucario and I wished Drake had helped with Dragonite or Dracovish in his return.
The elite 4 certainly kept Ash in his place when he needed it for sure as each time he was starting to get over confident/arrogant they would show how much further he needed to go still. If he was to battle any of them again flint would be cool and if anyone else Lance given their history. It could even end in a draw instead of winning
One of my earliest Pokémon memories was watching the Advanced series and seeing a cocky Ash get HUMBLED by Drake.

His ultimate success turned out to be a double edge sword because it marked the end of his era. To think there were times where I detested seen him compete in league, after a league, only to fail to win every time and wishing he would win. Just goes to show you should be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

It's thanks to these shows as a kid i learned to not follow the "META" moveset like using choice items or sacrificing team members to help set up.
I would love to see ash Battle Bruno but not as ash was in kanto but in journeys or after he became champion thst would be awesome! What would you prefer professor silver?

Elite 4 earn their title and surely and undoubtly had impacted Ash to truly becoming the best like no one ever was.

I wish Ash could've battled all the member's of the Elite 4, & all the champions in Journey's. Back in the OG series, Prima was a good start for Ash. I think Drake was a rough one with Ash. Ash getting schooled by him was a good thing. Ash was impatient, rough & hot tempered in Hoenn & needed to chill out. Ash needed to use Bertha's advice even more. I wish Ash could've battled & beaten Wikstrom in Journey's. I've noticed both Ash & Alain have both battled 2 different members of the Kalos Elite 4 & both have beaten one of them each. Those two have a lot in common.
For battles I'd have like to see:
Ash vs Lance - Full Battle - these teams in my vision & pokemon they should also have:
Ash's Team: Pikachu, Mega Charizard Y, Dynamax Dragonite, Naganadel, Dracovish, & Tyranitar
Lance's Team: Dynamax Dragonite, Gyarados, Hydreigon, Mega Aerodactyl, Druddigon, & Dragapult

It would’ve been cool if Ash battled Lance with Pikachu, Dragonite, and Gengar (cause they all Gen 1). It would’ve been awesome for Pikachu’s 10 million volt thunderbolt gyarados. Plus it would’ve given poor Dragonite one more win (against Lance’s Dragonite, cementing her as the second strongest dragon in the anime, especially after beating Dragapult (behind Cynthia’s Garchomp, of course)).
