Correct, but who said this show would go on forever? The show ran on a niche (murders in the Arconia) and they even play around with that idea in this season, almost like the show might conclude with three seasons like they would for movie trilogies. Trilogies do tend to end with the third installment, after all! But no, I don't think so. I just think the writers wanted to throw a curve ball at us and have us question ourselves

Honestly I've never been able to guess with this show, probably because I casually watch, but this season has really captured my attention. I also wondered if it isn't an Orient Express twist where multiple people did it. It would be interesting if they do it right. I can't believe that they would bring Meryl Streep on board just to have her character be some interesting side and romantic interest. I have a feeling she is deeply involved, but I haven't figured it out yet.
There are moments where Loretta seems more.involved than not. If everyone did it, that would explain why Dickie was so quick to get her a job. PLUS.... I think Dickie is actually in love with Loretta 🤯
I think the mix of Loretta being girl cops aunt, and then the daughter he had with girl cop would be a great twist. but I have been feeling very Agatha christie everyones the murderer vibes. ie: Kimber messed with the face serum stuff, but all it left was an allergic reaction. donna poisoned cookies after hearing how bad the review was. and then girl cop daughter at the end? But we know The Producers theme is coming in so I'm most suspicious of Donna and son.

And how they all so wanted to just leave, then SO SUDDENLY the play turns out to be good and they all wanna stay now? I think on the tape he is talking to a plate of cookies! We know he's very extravagant so I wouldn't put it past him to talk to food this way, similarly to how he reacts to seeing them in episode one. I like the theory that girl cop is somehow involved, I'm not sure if she's going to be the one who did it, but I have a feeling she'll have a big role that reveals a final clue.
I think the opening backstory about rejection is almost certainly Loretta. In one of the clips, the mysterious backstory lady is wearing a green ring that Loretta later appears to be wearing in her audition. In both clips, the ring doesn't even fit all the way down the finger. Donna has rings on during the read-through, but they're gold and fit all the way down the finger. (The Girl Cop idea is cool though. I don't think Girl Cop was in the dressing room-- I buy the cookies theory there-- but it being Girl Cop could be the way that Mabel solves the murder.)

As you could see in the video, I corrected myself via text graphic on screen during post. 😊 I'm still referring to "Ty, the other lead*" in this case, the one Ben calls "too effing handsome" during the table read
Could the triplet theme just be about the trio ? Is Charles a secret murderer ? Or will clues point to Charles but secretly point out to be Sazz who potentially got Ben fired?
The synopses for the next episode is: Charles, Mabel and Oliver take their relationships to the next stage on a date night that reveals many hidden secrets.
So does this mean Loretta, Joy, or tobbert? My theory is Tobbert is potentially undercover, Joy might have a past which stops the investigation on her, and Loretta reveals something about her past maybe a connection to Ben where he stole a role from her or got her fired and Ben became like this because of Charles. in the trailer however, it looks like the book is hers due to the location.
I want to add that I believe matthew broderick will be a writer for Brazzos or even another body double for Charles?
I have a feeling this could be a multi killer ending and that's the triplet connection.
Also, I believe to some extent Joy is hypnotizing Charles or at least manipulating his blackouts

BIG Point to add about the hand tattoo :!!! HE NEVER HAD THE HAND TATTOOS IN THE SCENE, go to when you first see him on the floor and you'll see he doesn't have finger tattoos, they were added later
I like this Girlcop theory but only together with a more prominent character we've seen more of so far. Otherwise it's too deus ex machina. But I like this, the Orient Express everyone did it theory, and the twin theory. Lots of good theories out there this season! 😂
Haha, I don't think it's a Deus Ex Machina at all, really! I do see how it'd be called too convenient of a plot device, but I genuinely believe they've set up everything in order for us to surmise this theory as valid. Setting up the clues so it's there the whole time is what makes up a good mystery, and if it turns out to be Girl Cop and I figured it out via the exact clues they dropped... that just says good writing to me cuz if I did it, sooooo many others did it likely faster, haha 🤣🤷🏽♂️

Here's my theory: it's basically a Gosford Park situation with twins. Loretta is guilty of poisoning the cookies that (possibly) kill Ben 1, and Dickie is the person who kills Ben 2. I think Mabel is going to pull some stunt that gets her arrested before the end of the season. That's my main theory but I also hope the entire cast is essentially responsible for pushing Ben 2 down the elevator shaft... or at the very least they all stayed silent while he backed in.

That's interesting indeed! I'm not s fan of the twins theory, mainly because it clashes with the fact there's now triplets in Death Rattle Dazzle, either hinting at 1) three murderers (Loretta, Donna, Cliff or Loretta, Girl Cop, Girl Cop Glenroy Jr), or three Glenroy boys/triplets. But I also think twin/triplet revas in mysteries to be too old hat and not creative; easy to write yourself out of a plot hole by saying "hE hAd A tWiN tHe WhOlE tImE!" I genuinely hope it's just the showrunners lack of attention to detail haha
My theories:
The first "death" was staged as part of the bio they're filming, though I'm not sure if Ben was in on it or not.
I'm glad you're not jumping on the twins/ triplets theory. But I do think the switch in the play has parallels. His fall from the elevator shaft is similar to the lighthouse death...

But I'm also thinking it could just be an ambiguous didn't mean to/ don't really know if they were a killer moment (maybe a white room moment) similar to Theo/Zoe. If it's this, I'm guessing Loretta.
But I think most likely there are 3 killers (first there's 1 baby, then 3; season 1 had 1 killer, season 2 had 2 people plan the murder, season 3 may have 3) but I'm not sure if they all planned it together or if they each did 1 thing that leads to cause and effect combined in an accidental murder. Tobert is definitely in on it somehow.
It seems too obvious to us as the audience that Ben is talking to cookies (though not to Mabel). But when Ben says "of course you're not gonna say anything" I think he's talking to Tobert, (maybe holding a plate of cookies?)
Jan and the lipstick, Kimber and the hankie- just red herrings. Which leads to my long stretch, which is that Mabel is putting so much emphasis on these clues but the person is really someone Oliver wants her to look into (for the wrong reasons) but once they do, they are able to find what they need.
I wanna know why Ben calls Loretta a snake 🐍 maybe Dickie was already in contact with her to become her manager too? 🤔
I don't think Charles got Ben fired. I think it was Sazz. It just seems a little out of character for him, and I'm sure we'll see her soon as Charles is struggling and probably needs a stunt double.
I think Howard is somehow connected to every murder in some way throughout every season.
I really wanna ship Mabel and Theo. But I'm not sure they'll be able to squeeze him in with such a big cast this season. I'm looking forward to the Broderick cameo (I'll be looking for Producers Easter eggs, and it originally made me suspect Donna and Cliff doing a scheme similar to that movie, but the last few episodes changed my mind).

I have thought about Charles' line about another girl killer and realized that usually men are killers, we don't normally expect women to murder. The "been there, done that" of murder is that guys usually are the guilty party. So I think they were pointing up that many viewers wouldn't think it could be another woman killer but I think as far as this show goes, there is equality in murder.

I think the plot/killer was in motion in the first episodes. Ben in his first scene had a conspicuous gold ring 💍 on his right pinky finger. After Ben comes back from the dead the ring is missing… twins??? Plus Loretta changes her tune about Ben in when he comes back from the dead. Does she recognize the other twin? Ben calls her a snake and hisses at her and she later calls him an asshole. There is history here that won’t be revealed till much later. Perhaps she was a nanny also in teal life and she recited the lines I would kill to protect a child. Did Ben 2 poison Ben 1 and switched somehow lives which didn’t fool Loretta for a minute???
I like that! if you're a struggling actress living in Manhattan you must have had another job to pay the bills, yeah? She showed up to audition herself, unannounced. So, clearly she did that when she heard who was in the cast.

Okay, so, I wanted to do more sleuthing before responding to this as I didn't notice any rings. And you had a case here. However, rewatching the episodes, I think I have an answer for you, one you may not enjoy, unfortunately. I've done a LOT of stage/theater work/acting during my time attending college, so I'm using that knowledge as a basis.
So, typically, when you go on stage as an actor, you go up with just your character's costumes, so you have to remove any personal items of clothing or accessories. When he "died" the first time and was rushed to the hospital, putting on the rings wouldn't be the first thing anyone would do. In fact, the rings wouldn't even be near Ben as he went from the hospital straight to the rehearsal room. Plus, biopsies and just preliminary routines would find that Ben #1 is different from Ben #2 just via blood sampling, which they do for every single case. To be honest, there's too many real-world inconsistencies like the hospital or family would've said something by now if Ben #1 had really died. Unless Ben #2's pocketbook is huge to silence surely TONS of nurses and doctors, I'm not sure the twins thing holds up on a logistical story writing standpoint. Perhaps, tho, the rings could've been stolen from him and could've been a reason they're gone. But seeing as we're 4/10 episodes in and they seem to be doing a character by character focus and the rings weren't mentioned so far, I am not sure if they ever will. If they are, cool! But I guess we shall see!!
Plus, yes, it is assumed that Ben and Loretta don't like each other. It is likely because Loretta is jealous of Ben and Ben is likely jealous of Loretta. Two similar yet opposing personality types often clash. It's classic behaviors between many actors. In "I Love Lucy" actors Vivian Vance (Ethel Mertz) and William Frawley (Fred Mertz) HATED each other, but you couldn't tell by the way they played husband and wife on screen. Again, I think Loretta is set up to be our red herring (along with Joy & Kimber, lest they ALL did it). Or Loretta did it with someone. It's a two person job

I actually know she's into that it was either Cinda or Poppy from the job they were there when the cops arrested Mabel Charles and Oliver how did they get there so fast and how did they know anything was going on especially those three getting arrested for murder how they know there was a murder in the building how did they know that they were going to be the suspects. I definitely thought it was one of those two and I was right Poppy was Bunny's murderer. I did not know the other half with dirty cop played by Michael rapaport but I definitely thought it was one of the two and I was half right

It’s Producer Donna. She wants to collect the insurance when the show fails. She picked Oliver to make sure that it fails in the first place. She killed Ben to make sure that the production really fails. Also if the production fails her son keeps being dependent on her.
