I have the 2018 model and it picks up speed very quick on the highway! I love mine! But I'm happy that the 2021 has improved in the brakes, seating, gear selection modes, slimmed the body, fuel consumption and the navigation screen.
I have 2016 model, and i don't think that the 2021 model it's a big upgrade. It's has some good upgrades such as throttle by wire, but these are not enough (at least for me) to buy it. The most big disadvantage is that Honda make this bike shorter. I am 1,90 and when i saw it at the dealer shop, i said "that bike isn't for me!" I love my bike, but i would like to wait to see the new crf850 or transalp (i don't know how Honda will name it) Good job Arthur!
I appreciate the very thorough review. I like the way you spent a lot of time talking about the windshield and airflow and also the seat comfort, which are topics that most reviewers don't spend much time on at all. However, those two items really affect how enjoyable a bike can be to ride.
Great review, and the very comparison with the old model, which is already a great motorcycle as such, but I was very bothered by the height of the seat for my 170 cm. When I saw that they lowered the height of the seat and added some liveliness to it, I decided to sell the Integra 750 2016, which impressed me so much with the DCT transmission that I decided to order the 2021 DCT model. Thanks for all this information.
I also have an NC 2019 DCT, and I really like it, rationally I find it almost perfect. I always consider getting another bike, because I like to try new things and different styles, but then I go for a ride in the NC and realize it has enough power, it's more economical than any similar bike, has unique cargo space, very comfortable (with custom seat, tall glass and DCT)... what else could I want? Sure I dream about 4 cylinders, but in reality the only thing that bothers me is the weight for offroad. If the NC was under 200kg it would really be perfect.
About the video, it's very detailed and really good! And I think the new version is better than I expected, but not enough to make me change. For someone looking at buying a bike 'good enough' for nearly any situation, this is it! Only in offroad or after a long day riding the weight is a problem, but so is the case for any bigger bike...
Owning a vfr1200 I must admit, I miss the time, when I was driving the cbf600. Maybe I should have taken the NC 7500x. My bike ist heavy an fuel consumption is high. There is too much power to be used legally.
A lot of reviews claim this is a good bike for beginners, which may be true, but I think a lot of experienced riders will also be attracted to it because it is a get-on-and-go sort of bike. It would be nice to see Honda add shaft drive or even a third cylinder to make a 1000cc triple for those who want a little more ;)

hello my friend very nice video,i want to ask you about the gearbox for the 21 model is the same noisy in the changes 1th-2nd-3rd gears especially with previous model??keep going with your videos.....
Thanks for great review. What do you think NC 750 or crf 1100 dct ? I have test crf 1100 last year. its has bits vibration and also some heat from engine only on right side . Have a good time
Hi, I think you're incorrect about the prediction of shifting by DCT. DCT receives input from various sensors and measurements. Throttle position, RPM, gear, speed, etc etc. This information is put into algorithms that attempt to understand and make shift point changes based on these inputs and circumstances. This attempts to match the gear changes required for the conditions being asked by the rider. Its kind of a learning fuzzy logic. My experience is that my XADV with DCT indeed makes adjustments in its shift behavior based on my demands.
Yes - I also have tried it, nd I'm not going to replace my 2019/20 model with THIS one. Yes, some improvements were made, but at the same time the bike was downgraded - to be cheaper to produce ( even though, it sells now for more 💰 ). For 3+ more horses - not really worth it - for me. If there was, at least, same shocks' travel, as it was before, but with adjustabie forks / a cruise controll / a better storage comp. cover ( the new one is flimzy, with no hooking rails...) / a rear mudguard / a windscreen that actually DOES something, appart from decorating..... maybe I'd consider 🤔

@@indigo196799 they rust, they're heavy, imprecise adjustment and the steel piece that wraps under the swingarm can spin around and scrape a circle on the paint. An old design that has been superceded by most manufacturers.

Low horsepower..but is not low at all..but the torq is high..and the torq is god then passing cars..and in Sweden more horse, higher insurance..they take the weight/ horsepower..and high horsepower light weight is expensive. And the opposite
did you have chance to test the top speed? Because I have changed my 2017 NC 750x DCT with 2016 Africa Twin DCT for its' more comfortable cruise speed around 140-150 km/h.
That's depending on what you want to do with the bike. I like all 3 but to resume : NC750X it's 80% Road 20% off-road and very reliable. CB500X it's 60/40 more off-road orientated, friendly and easy to control. V-strom has more power, it's higher reliable, very capable off-road, but with primitive and low quality parts like dashboard, headlight and the plastica parts not so good quality. The choice it's only yours.
I have seen others put the helmet in like you did, and it doesn't fit. But did you try to put it in the other way? As I can see, it is more narrow in the bottom, so if you put it down with the "face" first, would it then maybe be able to go just that much deeper and fit?
@@IdealBike sure it is! Im looking for first comute Bike that I can use in city and for 100-200km travel off city to go on camping.. im think tihs will be good choice
I think it is worth riding the 21 Forza 750 to see what an upgraded NC could be like (and the higher price). The Forza has better suspension, twin front disks, and a TFT. A higher windscreen. Still no cruise control though. I believe the fuel tank is lower than the NC but 1 litre smaller. The handbrake position is better as it is right in front of the starter button which reminds you to release it. I rode one for an hour and liked it but it was a city area so I didn’t get into a highway. I am considering changing to one. Oh ans the display is brighter and shows ambient temperature. The seat does slope but is larger. You can move your feet around. The handling feels even better than the X. I think the centre of gravity is lower. Braking was superb and I was comfortable using my left hand for the rear brake. After riding that I spent 15 minutes on a manual 21 NC750X. The manual slipper clutch is very light and easy to use.
Good point, I was riding the Forza 750 on the race track, It's like a baby Honda Goldwing, very comfortable, amazing wind protection, looking forward to share the review
@@IdealBike Brilliant. I am looking forward to it. I didn’t ride long enough to know if the Forza seat is more comfortable as I was still aching from 3 days riding on the (2017) NC750X at the beginning of that week!
Thanks for the video man ! Great review I have a Crossrunner 2016, and thinking to buy it, because of the dct, and its practicality i was only worried about the power. is it sure than the power is enough ?
După 1500 km petrecuți calare pe ea prin diferite tipuri de drumuri pot sa va spun ca: 1. La 75 kg ale mele suspensia e ... slabă. Adică scutura. Comparativ cu cb500x același an e "scuturacioasa".
@George Adrian Danila what do you think of the MT? Did you test the DCT? I’m curious to know and want to test ride both because on paper it’s a difficult choice for me.
The manual transmission comes also with slipper clutch feature, so it may be an interesting option. This bike though it's thinked and conceived as a DCT bike.

Any advice is greatly appreciated 👍
This happens mostly because of to high drive chain slack. Try to adjust properly your chain and see that the vibrations will decrease in intensity
And also, try a trick, use minus(-) button to reduce one gear and then accelerate. Really 6th gear is designed for fuel economy on highways
Youre riding at too lw rpm for the acceleration you want. Shift down one gear or even 2.

The old model had sport 1,2 and 3. This one has just sport. Which of the old ones do you think it compares to ?
With sport 3
@@IdealBike so I think we ride our old models using sport 3 until the transalp comes out and then decide whether to change or not 🧐
It seems like...
In user mode you can adjust DCT in 4 modes, so it is basically the same like standard and sport 1 - 3 like Africa Twin.
Great review, thankyou. 👍👍
Thank you!
great video 👍 thank you 👏
Great review like always!!!
Thanks! 👍
ez to add the top box brackets ? Can i get mounting plates for front mounting mirrors ?
Nice review!! For a total 50years old beginner, will you recommand for my first bike the nc750x or the cb500x and maybe the vstrom650xt!?:thanx ✌️
@@IdealBike thanx ✌️
Nice review! Thank you
You Sir have awesome review… new subscriber here! I just hope you can review the 2015 model like this for those who wants to buy 2nd hand… 😅
Thanks a lot, appreciate it!
There are also 3 reviews of the 2016 - 2020 model so you know what to expect, mine it's a 2019 but not so many differences...
Thanks for this video
Thank you!
I have seen others put the helmet in like you did, and it doesn't fit. But did you try to put it in the other way? As I can see, it is more narrow in the bottom, so if you put it down with the "face" first, would it then maybe be able to go just that much deeper and fit?
it will fit eventually, but it takes quite a lot of struggle, it depends quite a lot on the helmets shape
You are so funny spending so much time in traffic
Thanks man for very complete review !
Thank you for watching! Hopefully it was helpful
@@IdealBike sure it is! Im looking for first comute Bike that I can use in city and for 100-200km travel off city to go on camping.. im think tihs will be good choice
Need to get out of the city (traffic). Driving in the cit equalizes most bikes!
Get out of the city!
my wish would be to have /13 of a gallon more gas
Very well put together review. So complete.
Thanks Steve! Appreciate it!
U desarve million like 👍
I like mine 2015 DCT
Glad to hear that!
I am 193 cm what bike would you recommend or suggest?
I recommend the previous model, until 2020. It will be difficult for you to rise up the seat, the bike it's quite low.
can I interchange the saddle from the Honda 2023 NC750 with a one from NC700 2013
There are slightly differences between them, unfortunately the answer is no.
Love the review, thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks for the video man ! Great review
I have a Crossrunner 2016, and thinking to buy it, because of the dct, and its practicality
i was only worried about the power.
is it sure than the power is enough ?
Hello, thank you for the comment! Don't worry about the power, it's more than enough for any normal road conditions. Greetings!
is there bolts all over to add sliders ? center stand is standard; alon with rear bracket for a top box ?
Centre stand is an option. Led headlights are appently good too.
După 1500 km petrecuți calare pe ea prin diferite tipuri de drumuri pot sa va spun ca:
1. La 75 kg ale mele suspensia e ... slabă. Adică scutura. Comparativ cu cb500x același an e "scuturacioasa".
"passing uhhh, the romanian dutch ya"
*me sitting in the united states with a very confused look*
"Theres no romanian dutch here" lol
is there a std back plate to install; a top box ?
Yes
Great review.
Thanks, appreciate it
How about the engine heat?? In HK is over 34C very 🥵
I've made a video with the temperatures, please check it on my list, it's for the 2020 model but it should be same for 2021.
Excellent!
Thank you!
wouldn't it be nice to have one flat seat for the passenger and more space for legs; why point up in the air with so much tire clearance ?
Just bought one, with MT version, still could not succeed to see the Self Cancelling signals working
Me neither... Perhaps you have to lean more... Cannot saw it cancelling
@George Adrian Danila what do you think of the MT? Did you test the DCT? I’m curious to know and want to test ride both because on paper it’s a difficult choice for me.
@@SimonBrisbane did not test DCT version, but the MT works great, easy to find Neutral, very soft gear changes
The manual transmission comes also with slipper clutch feature, so it may be an interesting option. This bike though it's thinked and conceived as a DCT bike.
