43 minutes of my life that I will never get back.........
I feel quite noble and proud to be American,
also talkative and very protective of the pregnant,
as well as somewhat tipsy.
8:40 " At 0:17 hundred hours in the morning " ? 😂😂
This is the movie equivalent of
"Stay tuned for part 2" of a Tiktok.
I thought this was very good, very exciting. I would just like to see more of this as I am intrigued about what happens next....?
Thank you very much for the upload, Stash ! 😊❤❤❤❤
Pretty obvious they didn't have a military adviser.
.. the whole thing is a crock of bullsh't .. a major nuclear launch facility in an office...wtf...it's laughable...furthermore, the CO is nothing more than a pos lieutenant colonel 🤣
Total waste of time. Was looking for the trailer because I saw this on Amazon. Glad I watched it here for free. That's 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back...
Thanks for commenting! I knew it was wise to check the comments first before I clicked play. You saved me ! 😎👋
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂thanks
You saved me too! Hahah
Sometimes a movie is good if some totally other person say's it's bad 😊🎉
🎯🎯 100% wish I had read this comment before losing 45 minutes of my life.....
Did anyone notice that this is one single 42:20 take, no cuts ? It's kind of unbelievable, astonishing. So much talent, camera, scenery, acting, atmosphere, ambience.
Well, the story, I think,it deserved a more profound plot than an extraterrestrial invasion. The conflict between military mind - chain of command, follow orders, protocol, duty - and responsibility - due diligence, common sense, cautiousness - is really enough for a movie. No alien invasion needed. The attack itself could be some sabotage (f.i. sleeper hardware components) or hacking, or technical failures with chain reactions. Or AI misinterpreting surveillance data.
But other than that, this was a very intense experience, a bit slow in the beginning, to introduce the characters and a bit of a background.
The ending is o.k. Shorts often do that, it was to expect.
This very intimate chamber play caught me by surprise. It is - and I use this word very rarely - a small masterpiece.
Supplemental: This seems to be the pilot episode of a tv series that since its 2018 production never came to fruition. There were six episodes planned, or at least there are six dummy entries in the episode list on imdb. Therefore, the ending of this episode on a cliffhanger. I would like to see further episodes, if they would exist.
Agreed. I like to joke about it, but this is a serious subject. We don’t even know there was an extraterrestrial invasion. This is what they heard, and so we are told. I had the idea it was merely our AI. Very possible it originally was software on some satellite.. I mean for a story line. Then it would be extra terrestrial, and realistically portrayed; believable. I hear tell, some government spook, say it was entirely possible to stage a nuclear detonation from a hologram. I don’t know if it were even possible, but that too is scary thought. Yeah , a good flick, great acting, except the idea of siblings being stationed at the same silo. Idk, doesn’t sound like the military would do that, who knows?
@@James-to7pi I cannot agree. I thought the acting is good, at least on par with many TV productions. Just...natural. Especially, since there are no other takes but one. So we see the actors making some small mistakes, too, like on stage. I also could not see any bad directing. And the emotion, I would say most of it is legitimate. No one could possibly be calm in a situation like this, especially when you have to nuke your own cities, because you are digitally ordered to, while being totally in the dark. So, up to the point where Aliens were introduced, the script was not bad, but rather good. The fuel thing was a bit too much dramatized, but ok.
I was very impressed, but I'm an European, and I love intense chamber plays.
@pontram wrote [ The conflict between military mind - chain of command, follow orders, protocol, duty - and responsibility - due diligence, common sense, cautiousness - is really enough for a movie. No alien invasion needed. ] As in "Crimson Tide" ,1995 .With Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman. Submarine, Nuclear Warheads, Launch Order, No confirmation. Same story but without aliens. And definitely a far more acceptable ending. And a far more bigger budget.
Yes. It was fairly obvious within just a few minutes that this was probably going to be a single take. I did not find the military angle very convincing, though. I seriously doubt the military would behave this way in such a scenario. Fire upon the White House without any explanation as to why? That makes no sense. I would have interpreted such orders as being a spoof by some hostile force.
IN CASE YOU MISSED THE MEMO. THIS IS A PILOT FOR A TV SERIES. NOT SURE IF THEY MADE IT OR NOT. IF THERE'S AN EPISODE 2 I HOPE THEY PUT IT ON HERE IF THEY CAN. I LIKED IT. DEFINITELY SUSPENSEFUL.
I concur
NOPE. rating too low to produce more of it.
The sister is definitely not an actor, lol! The episode is good, but a bit cheesy.
According to the IMDB link above, they only did six episodes and canned the series.
@@RonHelton Maybe it will be picked up by a streaming service.
Brilliant!! I would have appreciated this as a series, seriously! This was excellent from start to finish. A refreshing change from the outer space sci-fi films.
This held my attention from start to finish. Very rare for any movie or video to be that engaging. Very well done.
Air Force. No hats inside and no indoor salutes.
and no ponytail hair below the collar
That is the general rule. There are exceptions to the wearing of a cover indoors for personnel under arms. As far as saluting, there are probably exceptions to that too, although I am unaware of them. The thing that gets me is the Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) is in charge and apparently the Major (MAJ) is his next in command. So why is the MAJ giving orders directly to enlisted men instead of a Captain (CPT) or a Lieutenant (LT)? Normally, the orders would go from the LTC to the Executive Officer (XO) to the Company Commander CPT to the Platoon Leader a Lieutenant (LT) and the LT would direct his Platoon SGT to get the job done. This movie looks like it was made by civilians with only a passing knowledge of how the military actually functions.
@@RespectMyAuthoritaah@RespectMyAuthoritaah I agree that giving orders is how it's usually done, but he is speaking to individuals; therefore, he can tell them what to do directly. I take issue with his sister; she is under his command, and the doctor can certainly give medical information to her commanding officer, which will affect the mission. This is why the LTC didn't override the Major decision not to send her to help the Lt. However, my pet peeve is with the SGT's headgear.
A female's hair cannot extend below her collar, and a hanging ponytail is entirely out of the dress code. I knew a girl in basic training who had long, thick blonde hair, and she would get up an hour earlier to set it. She had to ensure it didn't come below her collar and didn't affect the head covering her cap.
I also didn't like the way she talked to her brother. He was in uniform and in an official setting, and she had no business addressing him the way she did. Which is why they don't put relatives under another command.
@@RespectMyAuthoritaah You sold THIS civilian, as do the comments from evamaria644. Thanks for your service.
@@evamaria644 LOL Okay. I only served 20 years as an enlisted man. It is possible that LTC's and MAJ's do indeed give orders directly to SGT's. I have never seen it, but it is possible. Most of my career I only ever saw Commanders at a distance.
Mr Putin must be laughing his head of. This is more like, Dad's Army.
Air Force personnel don't salute indoors. Unless they changed the rules since the 60's.
Reason?
In the Army, the only time we saluted indoors was when we reported to the paymaster for pay. Other than that, no saluting in doors.
Also the major was giving very British salutes . Long way up short way down
"This is totally unprecedented, SIR!"
"No kidding"
"You know, sir, I am preparing for WW3" at 1:10 is muted out. It seems eople seem to be very afraid of something...
No one commenting on this looks as if it was done in a single take?!?
Indeed - I was watching for a break or cut, but never saw one. If it was really a single 45 minute take with no re-takes, then that would be amazing to me! Is that even possible? No flubbing of lines, missing of cues by the actors for the entire time?
9:43 they may have easily edited here. Just one scene I noticed, possibly more of them
That was a good catch. Could be used to do a stealthy cut in right there, but if so, it was a very good job. Seamless.
@@dr.robertjohnson6953 at some point (I believe somewhere near the beginning) I had the impression that lip movement and audio were slightly out of sync. So audio *may* have been overlayed. But still I agree, seemless job and after 3 minutes from the start I already started thinking: will they keep that up to the end?
also kind of reminds me of the music video from Massive Attack, Unfinished Sympathy
@@flatisland Reminded me of the first few minutes of Serenity. Camera zooms into ship and follows Malcom around. It felt to me like they were giving a tour of the ship and crew. Was nicely done, but only lasted about 5 minutes.
_"They went offline again about an hour ago??"_
[probably still running Windows 98]
Al Sapienza is always good to watch. This whole movie was shot in doors which I did not care for so I scanned the movie just to get it over.
43 and a half minutes of staircases, offices & expositions...
The acting is not bad, though.
That's pretty much what a military command center is in modern times.
Can't take any more 😢😢
This was awesome wish we had more.
It is on PRIME VIDEO
Glad to hear that you liked it!
Look around... the horrible US military representation and destruction of the English language are everywhere!~
@@allandavis8201 Sure, you can rent it for 3 bucks it's so good. lol
Well, I'll say this. The camera marathon was exhausting and the set design was massive. And it takes talent to do a show in one shot.
But I don't understand the show's entire premise. Maybe this is a one-off, or every show was going to be another sci-fi drama that ends suddenly.
Seriously loved it
Awesome! Glad to hear that you like it
😢 that's what is the worst movies I've ever
There was no unless you count pushing the button. Humans are so destructive we've corrupted our planet and destroyed our wildlife what would you do if you had rats in your house and you wanted to move in
cool movie missing one continues 😊yes, the real question, what do we do if we are attacked by E.L.E and they knock down the whole world's system. then it is guerilla war (war on the surface man against E.L.E) those who are not blind
This was slow to start. I didn’t want to continue with. I’m glad I did and then all of a sudden the ending sucks. That is my review of this movie.
Good I'm 10 minutes in boring so far. I'm counting on you so I'm sticking with it! :)
brilliant uncut
...much like myself!
Well written and well made very enjoyable watch.
I think the movie was shot on an iPhone 😂
iPhone 6😂
You're referring to the sha....ki..ness, I mean the shakiness of the camera, it's used a lot in these types of films. It's used for dramatic affect/effect It's as annoying as the emergency siren at the end.
Correction: iPhone, maybe, but my thought is Matel phone.
Amazing, that it's one take with a steadycam.
Agredd - how can the actors not miss a cure or flub a line for 45 minutes. Where there cue cards off screen or something?
@@Bryndeamer There were some pauses and odd wording, seems as if some lines were flubbed a bit but they carried on.
You are so right 😮
Not enough mechanical bond on that red painted 2" pvc pipe ... always sand inside of female fitting (elbow is this senario) and the outside of the pipe with 120 grit to ensure said bonding
Movie should have had real ending
So cool to see Jason Faunt ! The story was great, what happens next ?
Nothing happens next.
I heard this cost $300 million plus to produce.
The writers changed the story three times and
the writers were changed 4 times,
the directors 3 and the caterers, twice.
Of course, my medications might have me mixed up this movie
with about all the movies that came out of Wokollywood in the past few years.
I have a meeting with my staff soon and my psychiatrist promised me to be there this time.
well, you know what "they" say...
One Shot? I did not see a hint of a cut anywhere. Very well done. It must have taken weeks of pre-production to pull it off.
Loved it! Edge of my seat 😮
It really was eerie but strange in surreal phenomenon.
Good target
That was unbelievable
Would make a great stage play. I enjoyed this unusual piece of good filmmaking well done all cast and crew. Gem of a film .
in the begining Major said 01700 hrs ? two men holding a fuel pipe into a tank? multiple Alarms going of at the same time but the announcements are not being drowned out ( and continuous annoucements being talked over and ignored ) maybe the Aliens wrote this script ? The alarm was very very loud and I had to turn down my volume and use close captions to watch this movie.
.......and they all lived happily ever after.
Either you really liked it or you didn't. I did. Definitely worth the watch. Wish it were a little longer, seems like there should be a part 2 and beyond. Could Definitely be the beginning of a great series.
Super! Thank you very much!
I actually liked it, it had a lot crammed into those 43.30 minutes. Is it just me or did the major resemble an uncanny likeness to a certain Mr Pitt (*_*)
This movie would be so much better with a cut every 5 to 30 seconds
Not Bad!!!
Great suspense. Wow.
Interesting.
Wow. Any more like this in the vault? Gripping from start to finish. Took long enough to show up in my feed but was worth it.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a damn good little movie!
Very exciting movie..I liked it right until the last second..????!!!!
if the movies reflect the public angst we must be anticipating the first extraterrestrial visit, but wee expect it's gonna be bad, natives meet the white man bad
Had a "blast at 0-1700 hours." What a ROOKIE GOOF!!!! Who DOESN'T know military time, that's making a movie about military? No one caught this at 8:30 in it??!!
OK, he was not a soldier; he was an Airman. Army = soldier. Air Force = Airman; Navy = Sailor; Marine Corps = Marine.
Also, We have not had missiles requiring "fueling" since the early 70's.
Great movie idea, though.
Well, that was unpleasant watching a movie that is unfinished.
Great movie. Great acting by the actors.
It seems that this is an average day in the Pentagon.
Where the rest
PRIME VIDEO
Fantastic. What happens next?
Did anyone other than myself notice they were trying to talk on a CB radio with no coax connected to it
? And very cheap one too LOL
This really improved my faith in the US defense system. Bunch of amateurs!!
good stuff!
Not to mention all the "Moon base Alpha" kind of interior design. What in the World would nuking Washington DC do to stop a global alien invasion?
"Defcon 1? Aah, it's probably a false alarm, screw it"
"Hey, there's no AB567 here!"
"Oh well, any old missile will do..."
"How about that one full of frozen happy meals?"
"Umm, the president hates those...how about those slurpies?"
"All right, who hid the launch keys?"
"Sir, may I be excused? I have to go potty"
"The president just called....he says make sure there's a missile for us too!"
"OK everybody, next time let's ALL bring our guns!"
"Suspicious? Whaddya mean? There's nothing suspicious about launching missiles at our own white house....I mean it IS an election year...."
"Darned leaky pipes! Sarge, if you're pregnant you're relieved of duty...and forget that maternity leave!"
"Oh my god, it's aliens! Should we still bomb the Pentagon?"
"Evacuate, evacuate! All hands leave the base immediately! Everyone.....err, whaddya mean the blast doors won't open?"
NB: It looks like this was filmed in one of those huge bunkers left over from the cold war that are in the UK. There's actually a couple CZcams videos that show the inside - some of them are huge....
Im so mad i didnt read the comments first....EFF this, dont waste your time.
At 8:36 minutes - 017 hundred hours? Come on!!! lol
20:56’ then what are you doing working in a missile silo?
Look outside!
People in uniform acting important in a dimly lit basement, talking, talking, talking.
Damn this was cool. I want more.
At 8:38 he makes the statement of 01700 hours... LOL. No such thing really "0" hours are from after midnight to 10 a.m....
The Protagonist is the Base Commander
A complete Aho. He’s arguing to Nuke DC. A class C rating.
it's a miniseries. That's the pilot. I don't know if the rest have been (or ever will be) made.
Fueling missiles with solid fuel?
I read the comments too late. This was a waste of my 43 minutes that I will never get back.........
was pretty good, but i could not get past the CB radio with nothing connected that they kept using as a PA.
Brilliant short story. Really good acting. Perfect ending. But not for children who want Star Wars.
This is a warning the ground shakes it's usually a warning
An entertaining short movie. It was found during the 70's that some missile silos did have a problem with silo personnel having difficulties following orders. Including senior personnel. Psychological test and exams were established to identify those deemed strong and capable to accutually hold said positions. But, still. How would any of us react to something like this? There were minor mistakes of military protocols. But the underlying factors are the same. How would any of us react to such a scenario?
details look very acurate furnature tunnels
If I have to experience going round and round up or down one more set of stairs I'll puke.
Know what gets me?,there are places just like this in the whole world, Ohio u got 2?,what Ohio doesn't have one!,well we should build one ,underground so that the aliens don't😢 get themselves killed, unknown, people kill
Worst thing I ever saw!
So, what happened? Maybe there's a follow up. Or maybe we're all dead, don't know.
I HATE STORIES WITH NO CONCLUSIONS!! IT'S JUST LAZY WRITING !! ... but, very well acted. It did loose believably with the too friendly (i.e. "fraternization" level) of camaraderie. And don't get me started about wearing hats indoors and out of reg hairstyles. .... I was really looking forward to answers, but this let me down.
filme em ingles falado com legenda em ingles??? ...poderiam colocar uma legenda em portugues ne
❤
More Hustle ... Less Hastle
The major should have been relieved of duty long before any of this took place he was definitely in subordinate and mutinous.
To many yes men in the armed forces , following orders even if they are false orders . What happens if the enemy get hold of our chain of command and order attacks just like this, without verification then the world would be doomed because of yes men . It happened in all wars where some commander to it upon himself to slaughter innocent lives because he had a god complex and believed it was right and ordered from up above.
What was the major in?
33 minutes.. looks very similar to the Transformers signal
People who no nothing about the military should not write stories or make movies about the military. This is above and beyond the level of bad.
You are right on target!
Amazing guys. You did it without a cut..
Too much emotions from the officers.
Where did they hide all the cue cards ?
Stinks!!!!!!!
UGGG wt hell ???? thats it??? a cliff hanger???
TSgt. on guard duty...
Did anyone else notice the Army tag with airforce rank? Mismatched camo. Covers on indoors. Enlisted fraternizing with an officer. Hair not pinned up. Who the F wrote this? This movie is an insult to everyone serving or who has served!!!
