Getting moon water with max upgrade affinity just feels like cheating, like you dont even need to worry about health especially once you unlock the mid zone fountains
Oh it definitely feels like that
Sometimes they even get an upgrade that makes each fountain give +3 uses regardless of how many you still have left.
I think I reached Chronos with 11 uses once

I had 9 with an awesome build but died on his second stage cause I'm trash 😂
I reached Chronos with 24 charges as I used the health recovery keepsake in the previous biome😂 moon water is crazy strong
@@joaoluizkfsantos8392 You get that and a few of the extra healing nodes and it's just over lol. Rolling into Chronos' house with effectively ~700 HP. Might as well get your own boss bar at that point.
Fun fact: Circe is a Titan, she is a daughter of Helios. She's also responsible for the creation of Scylla the monster. See she and Scylla were competing for the affection of a sea-god, Glaucous, and when he choose Scylla Circe poisoned the waters she sleeps in transforming her into the sea monster.
It's funny how every monster woman in Greek myth just got cursed by some petty jealous witch or goddess lmao

@@viIIaswerte Yeah Circe has always been known to be sexually forward and very jealous. The only inaccurate part is that Scylla and Circe weren't actually "competing". Scylla rejected Glaucus because of his fish-man appearance, so Glaucus asked Circe to make a love potion for him, instead, Circe fell in love with him and told him to forget Scylla. He rejected saying Scylla was too good to give up on, and because of this Circe got jealous and poisoned the waters Scylla bathed in. So yeah Scylla has plenty reason to be a salty bitch.
For other fun facts about Circe, she has two kids with Odysseus and turns any man that rejects her into an animal lmao

Specifically, getting upgraded moon water + Aphrodite "if you're above 50percent hp, heal to full" is busted.. If you have 200 max hp, you can take 144 damage in a room, press F to heal 45, then leave and get healed for another 99.. And you can do that like 6 times per floor.. And that's without the "also heal all the damage you took in the last 3 seconds".. I had the whole thing in 2 out of my last 3 runs...

The slow time hex is also very great, if you can cast your Omegas fast enough, and have decent mana/regen, you can practically infinitely slow time. I was using the thanatos scythe specials, and it took three in my hex to immediately get it back. So for the entirety of the second half of the run, I could never get hit.
I did find out the hard way, it does not work against Chronos, at least for the most part.
I really liked the Hex on the surface but yeah the fact that it doesn't work in the most important fight in the underworld kinda blows it for me.

Coming to the boss with like 15 +55 heals while you have that infusion which caps incoming damage at 15 is sure fun.
Yes, you could have gifted Circe after you spoke with her. Most other characters leave after you speak with them, which makes it so you cant gift them afterward.
Would like to add an option to save arcana card combinations for easier set ups of runs you want to have.
I got the shrink one from Circe on my first time meeting her. It was funny. Loved that all the voice parts were pitched.
got my first kill on chronos with moon water, hit a few mid zone fountains and had the upgrade that allowed me to stack it infinitely. by the time i reached chronos i had i think 27 charges available, and they each healed 55 health. needless to say, it was pretty easy
Helios or Prometheus might be interesting as alternate Hex givers, if they add more down the line. Would be an awesome switchup from the current Moon-set. Helios is a fun mirror to Selene thematically (and would be a fun interaction with Apollo) but also Prometheus gave Humans fire, so he might have stakes in saving the world.
24:58 after the dialogue, you get the gift option! That's a nice QoL upgrade
QOL idea; The hammer that restricts to one side should have a little indicator to which side as u charge up.

The very first time I ever beat Chronos, I had moon water with 9 whole charges going into his fight.
I ended that fight with zero charges, zero DDs and 2 hp. Not my best run I will admit, but moon water brought it home for me.
You definitely had a "Gift" option on that woman who increased your size.
didnt watch the vid to avoid spoilers but the healing hex with the prime armor from hephaestus is so op I basiccly dont take damage if I take less than 15/20(depanding on the rarity) damage and than when I get to the bosses I can get like 6 heals
Edit: u can also use the Aphrodite boon that restores to max health when you're above a certain HP than u can take a ton fuck of HP and regenerating everything back immediately

I think the issue with Selene is that you can't buff her with a pom. You have to take get a specific item that buffs the Hex only, and that item is pretty rare until area 3, which is generally too late to incorporate a hex into your build strategy. I think they need to rework the wholes system.

24:49 You did miss a gift! So is that a glitch, or can you gift after you have spoken to them, but before you've met them a 2nd time?
I'm FAIRLY certain you can't normally gift an NPC at any point when you first meet them, might be a slight bug or something.
@Haelian right? I think I distinctly recall trying to give Doom (I can't recall his name rn) a nectar after I talked with him but I couldn't
If you use the upgraded staff you can keep healing 5 hp by shooting a wall near you up to 50% hp over n over its op
it can only help so far... fighting chronos will take all DDs...
I had 18 uses of this by the time I got to Chronos. It's what got me my first (and so far only) win.
big tip, use storm ring, (its a zeus boon on the omega cast) you will literally shred everything in the game. that boon breaks the game
Only on 10th night, moon water is a crutch i need every time until i git good.
I love how certain chat was that there was a prompt to gift Circe when on playback there definitely no option.
When you go to 25:00 you can see it, for some reason it only appeared after dialogue
@@obli1057it’s because you cannot gift anyone the first time you see them. Most of them however disappear almost right after, so you can’t gift them anything first time around. Circe is there in person however so you can just gift her after you had some initial dialogue with her.

I'm actually so stupid because I once got moon water maxed tf out with all the different buffs and stats and up to SIX uses before a fountain. Got to Chronos with all of it saved up and was so locked in that I didn't use my hex once. I died before 2nd phase 😐

@@Ballard77 I think you have to gift all of the olympian gods once to get it to appear at the cauldron (not positive though). After that hit Up on Dpad (dunno for MKB).
So they'll add one or two more biomes to the surface till 1.0?

Does anyone know where I can officially report the Hades 2 bugs? I’ve ran into a few so far. One really sucked, it disabled the use of my Magic Cast during the Chronos fight. I had the Hades boon that lets you launch your cast for 200 damage and it worked fine all the way up until Chronos. I was able to use it once then I could no longer charge my casts at all.
Check out steamcommunity forum for Hades II. I had a bug too, did a trove trial, cleared it quickly, but they showed me two foes remaining, when every enemy was already dead. Thankfully it didn't brick my run, I could just enter next reward chamber
if you click f10 it allows for you to report bugs directly in game.

38 hours in, 40 runs in, about 8 wins (surface and underground combined), unlocked every incantation except for Dissolution of Time, still haven't gotten the dialogue that gives you Familiar incantation :(
did you talk to the cat multiple times...?
Had the same issue what solved it for me is that you have to use all tools at least once(i never used tablet before and when I finally did i beat hecate and got the thing

hermes boons were so good in hades 1 compared to 2
This hex will be nerfed i think. This and a couple of hammers like one of the torch hammers that give you 1500% dmg on omega attack
