You can’t dye your dog, but you can with its collar, the reason it didn’t work was because his collar is already red, just use a different dye

You can tame cats by getting *RAW* fish and feeding it to them, but you have to let the cat *come to you* because if you go to them they'll just run away!

Also Jack you can go into your settings (press esc) and turn your brightness up so its easier to see an you don't need to place torches every 4 blocks :)
You gonna tell him how to tame cat their pretty tricky
They also ward away Phantoms. So if Jack doesn't want to worry about flying manta rays of death attacking him at night because of lack of sleep, cats will help too.

Tip 1: turn your brightness to max for everyone's benefit (yours especially).
Tip 2: dont jump on your farmland and you only need the middle stream to water the crops (water spreads up to 4 farmland blocks away)
Tip 3: don't look at the purple guy's eyes/face or he will find you and he will kill you...
Tip 4: water is a great way to get up and down great heights. Place one block of water and stay on the edge of the "waterfall" to travel without losing air.
And lastly tip 5: keep a spare iron pickaxe and boat to get your gear back easily if you die.

#1; because Sam's collar is already red you can't dye it red but you dye it other colors ( *cough cough* green)
#2; you can make a banner and put it on your shield and you'll need a loom for that (if you want a pattern on it)
#3 protect Sam

Jack
You can dye your dog, but only its collar.
You can dye your bed in the crafting table.
Diamond can only be mined with iron or diamond pickaxe.
Dont jump on the Hoe'd soil, it destroys the crops.
Holding shift while clicking on items speeds up or auto places items in your inventory.
Crounching will not let you on the edges of blocks.
The dog's tail is its health indicator.
Dogs scare away Skeletons.
Cats scare away creepers.
Thank you.
And if you put bones in crafting table it makes bonemeal and click on the crops to make it grow
*crouching will not let you fall off the block
Crops do need water to grow good, but the water doesn't NEED to be right next to it, it can hydrate from a few blocks away.
Cats also scare phantoms

Don't be afraid of falling of cliffs with water. Water is helpful to prevent fall damage. Also make sure to get the Obsidians you made since it'll be handy for the portal. You can also cook with the bucket of lava instead of wasting your coals.

21:05 You cannot dye your dog but you can dye his collar. You were using red dye and it didn't do anything because his collar is already red. You get dye from finding flowers of the color you want and putting them into a crafting table bye themselves.

You can also get white dye from bones after you turn it into bonemeal.

As someone who knows a lot about minecraft, it is adorable seeing Jack freak out over an enderman. Also highly frustrating seeing him miss all the coal and all the iron on his mining spree, because I'm the miner that get's all of the ores, even if I don't use them much
jack: works out Minecraft in 3 episodes and becomes a pro
other youtubers new to minecraft: *first 50 episodes:* still has a dirt house
Combat tip
Axes do more damage than swords in your version but they have a longer cool down than swords and do not have the sweeping effect
The cool down is the icon in the middle of your HUD and is better to strike when the icon reaches full.
Survival tip
When low on health make sure to EAT when hunger bar is low. When the hunger bar has JUST reached full, all health taken away from before then hunger bar was full will then be refilled at an alarming rate.
Also when you “sprint” in the water you actually swim properly.
Like if you want to.
Other survival tip: hold shift so you don't fall off your building and die...

Jack you almost gave me a heartattack when you looked at the enderman, here's some tips for mobs.
~Creepers are scared of cats, tame one with fish and let it follow you so creepers stay away.
~Skeletons don't like dogs, keep Sam around you as you walk to scare them off.
~Most hostile mobs spawn near dark places, light up caves to clear areas of any new mobs.
~If you see an enderman, _look away from it,_ they will react and attack you if you look at them.
~This might be for the far future, but once you get into the nether with a portal, _do not punch or hurt a zombie pigman_ in any direct way, other pigmen will sense it and attack you together.
~Endermen don't like water, if one starts following you, get in a pond/ocean and they won't hurt you.
~Zombies, phantoms, and skeletons burn in the day because they are undead, spiders and endermen are not.
~Phantoms are the flying creatures you saw the first episode, they appear if you don't sleep in three days or more.
~Zombie villagers act the same as zombies, but they can be cured with potions, and they mean you are near a village.
~Drowned appear underwater and act similar to zombies, but they usually stay underwater, some have tridents and will attack you from afar so be careful.
_BONUS TIPS_
~Tamed cats will every once a while give you gifts, such as rabbit feet, raw chicken, rotten flesh, and phantom membrane.
~Dogs attack alongside you, this means if you punch or wound any hostile/peaceful mob the dog will attack it until it is dead.
~You can dye the color of the collar on your pets to anything other than default (red), you can also dye a sheep's wool while on the sheep.
~You can use buckets to retrieve milk from a cow, and bowls to make soup, if you find a mooshroom (cow mushroom hybrid), you can use a bowl to milk it and immediately get soup.
~Magma blocks are underwater and can help you get air back, but they can also hurt you, and pull your boat underwater.
~Dogs, cows, cats and villagers can get in a boat with you, horses as well but it's really hard.
~Water and lava make obsidian, which is for portals.
~You can trade with villagers, but there's often raids in villages, which can kill you and the others.
~You can ride llamas, horses, pigs, and donkeys, but llamas can't really be maneuvered and walk wherever they want.
~Gold is only useful for trading with villagers, making golden apples, and decoration; gold weapons break easily and don't do much damage.
~You can tell how high a dog's health is by their tail, a low tail indicates lower health, other animals don't have this, so you have to guess and feed them often.
~Gravel and sand respond to gravity, don't stand under gravel/sand and mine, they will fall on top of you and hurt you.
~Certain blocks that you mine are in different levels of depth, look for guides and use F3 to get your coordinates and find diamonds, emeralds, iron, coal, gold, redstone, and other useful blocks.

only just started watching this series, and i was honestly half expecting him to kinda suck at the game. not a criticism; no one is terrific at this game when they first begin. damn was i shocked though. he’s actually a bit of a natural at this game. i have no clue how long he’s been recording for and playing the game at this point, but he picked things up a lot quicker than what i did when i was this far in.

You can lure animals
Cow: wheat
Chicken: seeds
Pig: carrot
Wolf: any kind of meat(no fish)

Sheep: Wheat
Parrot: Seeds (to tame)
Horses: Right click on them until hearts pop up and you need a saddle
Llama: Just like horse but you need a Lead not Saddle
and you can ride a pig with a saddle and carrot on a stick
trixon21 but you can use carpet to put on them (like how the wandering trader’s llamas are)
Pigs are potatoes, carrots, wheat

Why it doesn’t effect them? It only breaks them when you jump

Btw, yes, Jack you can dye Sam's collar. His collar is already red so that's why it didn't work. Try a new colour though! (like green or lime)
Be sure to check that out in your next video.
If you want green dye then find a cactus and put it in your furnace. I'm telling you this because I know you associate with the colour green and I think it would be cool! It's up to you though. Add white dye to green dye if you want to make lime dye.
