Richmond Park is a nature reserve not a petting zoo. The deer are wild animals, and should be treated with respect. The safe distance is 50 metres. And you are not supposed to feed the deer. Just follow the rules.

Because of feeding and petting, the group of fallow deer he’s feeding are becoming domesticated and increasingly reliant on treats. This little herd now tends to stick around the tourist areas of Richmond Park. So they will have problems surviving the winter. The annual cull starts on 4Nov, and so, alas, these fallow deer are prime candidates. Actions have consequences. Thanks for causing this.
Maybe we should introduce wolves so they die naturally. Haven’t you see what those deers eat? That’s grass, which I’m sure there are plenty of them in Richmond park.
Some people are quick to slag off this guy when he's not even hurting them, the deer are going to him, why not slag off the motorists instead who cause real stress?
There’s loads of signs saying don’t feed them. It’s not a petting zoo. Quite a few people have been gored when they got too close, one woman got her thigh fully punctured and had to spend quite a long time in hospital. It’s for his own safety as much as the deer. He’s a fucking moron.
There’s tons of signs at the park that clearly say. “Don’t feet the wildlife”
