    It was a very fun 30 minutes ☺️ Thank you for the good video. nice collection. I am honored to see so many good knives. There are many Spyderco models made in G-Sakai, Seki City, Japan, so I am deeply attached to them. Thank you again for the fun knife discussion 😇

    ya those are zen pins way better than tang cups, which are on cheaper balisongs

    Badass collection, I think I'm going to pick up a para 3 lw for summertime. Have you ever owned any of spydercos salt line?

    I recently got into CKF and they are some of the only knives that can interest me and knock the CRK’s out of my pocket. They are assembled in Russia but they have the parts machined out of China unfortunately. That said the quality is definitely on par with CRK if not better. It’s also the only way to get custom knife maker design for prices in the $450-$700ish price range, the secondary CKF market is what kills them imo. Lots of different killer designs with CKF.
    The Large 21 Insingo with black micarta is still my absolute favorite knife though, I liked it enough that I bought two lmao. Just had one of them completely DLC’d too.

    when that guy said your Para 3 was big, that's when I'd pull out an Espada XL and put him into cardiac arrest.. hehe

    Question - why not trim your collection so that CRK is your baseline knife (since they have the spa service) and then roll the proceeds from the other knives into a grail or two?

      I’ve thought about it, but I like to try knives that use different steels like Spyderco and I would get bored with S35VN. I also just like all kinds of knives. Thanks for watching

      I’ve noticed that, it’s always good to see knife companies like them trying to make better knives. Thanks for watching

    It's awesome to see how your collection (and subscriber count!) has grown and changed since discovering your channel. I definitely remember all the CJRBs.
    I hate that I passed on the s90v native chief. I have the rex45 and 4V, but after really using them I think s90v may be the ideal steel for the platform. I have a s90v/CF yojumbo incoming though, if USPS can manage to actually get it to me.
    What are your thoughts on the upcoming Military 2 with a compression lock? Personally I think that liner lock is the best part of the military, so I'm really curious to see what makes it a "military 2" as opposed to a "para 4".
    Are you using diamond on your GECs? I've only sharpened a couple but I've found that no matter how fine (and lightly) I start with diamond the 1095 is just so soft that it forms a thick mushy burr almost immediately leaving a super thick apex. I can get pretty good results with natural stones though. In contrast, I sharpen esee's 1095 on diamond all the time with great results.
    Sorry for the essay. Great collection.

      I didn’t know about a compression lock military coming out, that’s cool. The liner lock on the original military is really well done, so I probably won’t get the compression lock version.
      I believe every time I’ve sharpened my GECs I have started on a diamond or cbn stone. I might try to start on my Spyderco medium ceramic stone and see if that works better
      Thanks for watching

    I really like spyderco knives but I absolutely hate FRN HANDLE MATERIAL. The last spyderco I bought was the Para 3 in maxamet blade steel and I upgraded the scales to full titanium and it just seems to make the compression lock work better and smoother. Definitely worth the extra $60 for the titanium scales.

    • @wupwop
      @wupwop Před 2 lety +1

      Doesn't the para 3 in maxamet come with g10

    • @itsaknifestyle8482
      @itsaknifestyle8482  Před 2 lety +1

      I know a lot of people like you don’t like FRN but I actually don’t mind it. I’ve thought about getting some aftermarket scales for my para 3, I’ll probably either get micarta or titanium. Thanks for watchign

    • @CNYKnifeNerd
      @CNYKnifeNerd Před 2 lety

      I was completely anti-FRN until I got a K390 police 4 LW. I prefer it over my pakkawood hap40, and sold my G10 k390 police 4 almost as soon as I got the FRN model.
      I know it makes no sense, but the FRN actually feels stronger than the G10.

    Solid collection. Can agree with you the Boker Autos are bad quality wise and my GEC´s also don´t take an edge well. Hmm maybe we just suck at sharpening 1095.
    :)
