As a Jets fan it’s really nice to see a non Jets fan actually say how scary this team could be, I just hope we can stay healthy and I’m glad we have some good backups that can take some of the pressure.
As far as today’s move it was good for both the Eagles and the Jets. Jets fans love Huff and did not want to see him go I think Reddick will fit in perfectly with our rotation of pass rushers

The jets won't make the playoffs. They will sell tickets. They play in a weak division that the bills or dolphins will win. Guessing the jets will be 8 and 9 or 10 and 7. Some people love Howie, some hate him. Ultimately, he makes moves that he thinks will make the team successful. Is he perfect? No. But he tries, and that is something I think a lot of teams would want right now.

I'm a life long Jet fan. There's literally nothing i love more than watching them play. i'm always excited for every season even if we don't really have a chance to make playoffs. Last offseason and this offseason just feel so different. There's a buzz around this team that's indescribable. I can't wait to watch this season play out. this is the best roster we've had since 2009 with brett farve. This is our best chance to actually win the whole thing, and really the only chance we've had my whole life, 2000 baby. Can't wait for september!

As an Eagles fan who might be a lil bias because I literally just bought a Reddick jersey this past year, idk about this trade. It does make sense and is a good trade, but Reddick is a proven difference maker on our team, Huff hasn’t proven that. Right now, I think I’d take Reddick than Huff and a 2026 3rd round pick

Excellent pickup by the Jets. Reliable high-end production as a sack artist year in year out. Huff has never been that. Plus Reddick's gap discipline is better/savvier he has noticeably better anticipation and coordination in closing for the sack.

I think this trade or kind of trade was beneficial to both teams based on needs and financial situations. Eagles saved money by replacing one with another and Jets got a consistent veteran game wrecker.

As a Bears Fan it was a relief to see Aaron finally leave the Cheese Packers. And I actually wanted to see him succeed far away with the Jets. Having that injury four plays into last season seemed almost impossible . I understand Jets Fans pain and for their sake I hope he plays more than four plays this year. On paper the Jets look to be competitive if Aaron can stay healthy. Hopefully they do the Bears one solid and sink the Florio Viking ship this year. Please and thank you

As an eagles fan, I like the trade. At best, reddick would have played this year for Philly and then walked and we get a 2026 comp pick after losing him. This trade still gives as the 3rd rounder we would have got in 2026, but with a chance to become a 2nd rounder. Smart move on both sides.

They are just trading problems, the Eagles needed cap room, the Jets needed a more certain producer.
I don’t think looking at player hitting 30 is old. The NFL has to relook the old age. As a Eagles fan it’s a toss up on how I like this trade. Joe Douglas used to work side by side with Howie so we know how this trade went down. I hate how the NFL doesn’t fulfill their contracts. That’s something I wish they would make mandatory.

As a birds fan I hate to see hass traded but in all honesty with fangio running a 3-4 and using the lbers in coverage most of the time I see why howie traded reddick. He was an absolute beast going after the qb but not so good in coverage. It made no sense to pay him upwards of $25m a year if he wasn’t going to be used as an edge rusher most of the time. If he doesn’t get the extension with the jets and hits fa next year who knows he might pull a cjgj and come back lol

The thought on the Jets fandom is basically Huff was a product of the system. He was not good with Mike Williams as the DC. I'm not sure he'll be as good in Philadelphia and as you said our Defense is stacked so it's only going to create more opportunities for Reddick. Hopefully it works out for both teams.

Eagles are moving towards longevity and youth. The older players are getting short vet contracts. Now the Eagles are in a position to sign S Justin Simmons and could possibly trade for a younger player in the draft (CB Patrick Surtain). A la WR A.J. Brown. Don't sleep on Howie. He always has something up his sleeve.
