Hong Kong Horse Racing Members Area Experience - Happy Valley Racecourse

I got a chance to attend horse racing at Happy Valley from a members box. I believe visitors with foreign passports can get a visitor's badge to the members area.
Compare and contrast this experience to my video where I was in the public area.

I’ve been to Hong Kong once for business but didn’t think to go to the races. I did pass right by the track as it’s next to the highway and it certainly looked interesting. I’ll have to check it out if I ever get back. 2:06

doublewides: it is really quite fun particularly if you are a foreigner and are prepared to pay HK$190 (around USD$25) to enter the member area. Normally membership to the Hong Kong Jockey Club is quite expensive so having a foreign passport is quite a benefit as the members area is not as crowded as has better sight lines. Look out for my video next week when I review my experience at Shatin Racecourse in the members area. Shatin is quite a bit farther away but a totally different experience since it is much bigger and the gambling is more serious. Cheers!
