This is actually a really valid reason for aliens to be very upset at humanity. They give them technology to solve their problems and instead humanity use it to create weapons like the girl. However they weren't exactly willing to commit genocide unless it was as they saw was the only option available to them. This is an example of actual smart aliens unlike other movies I could mention.

And even then, they chose what is often considered one of the more merciful methods of execution; drowning is often considered more peaceful than fire.

The plot seems very confusing, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. It's a sequel to another movie from 2017. I think that's the main reason why some of the ideas come out of nowhere. It's a follow-up to another plot. It made a lot more sense after I read a recap of the first movie.

Watching this movie recap was like wtf... some plot seems stupid. Thank god this was a recap so I didn’t waste much time on this movie.

Nathan Nguyen well the first movie was about aliens crashing into earth, and once they did they were collecting water, because it needs water as power, the aliens slowly started causing a shitty environment by taking the water supply for itself, until the MC finds an alien and well it ends up getting injured with her (I forgot how she got the powers but it was probably middle of the movie or final act) but she eventually falls in love with the human looking alien. She tries to get him back to his ship so they can finally depart, because if a single technology of those aliens were to be left behind the humans would use it for themselves, and at the same time the aliens needed more water, which slowly started to piss people of leaving them to try to break through the gates that is keeping the people from going near the the ship, the people wanted the aliens dead, after that the MC and the alien finally get close the MC boyfriend was using the aliens tech to fight back the alien after he is defeated he grabs one of the soldiers on the ground AK and shoots at them, causing them both to die, the aliens heal her as a act of sympathy for their actions and choices for coming to their planet but the alien she fell in love with hawkens must remain dead as some of his strength was transferred to her so she can survive, (2nd movie) life goes on and she's a 21-22 year old enjoying life, but isn't really enjoying her daily routine of being experimented and tested, she's greeted by her ex and loses control of her anger, its later reavled that Hawkins lived and was living a normal life in earth, due to his actions in the last film he was no longer considered part of his alien race for some code of conduct he broke, he eventually tells her that she must leave the planet due to her capabilities of her powers of controlling water as it was mentioned later on she grows more stronger the more she experiences pain and suffering, the ship Hawkins worked with sol helped them escape but eventually gets captured and becomes ra, ra is angered by the fact the people were attempting to use the aliens technology for their sake, so they try to destroy and kill the MC as she's the keypoint of the future technology the humans are trying to replicate from the aliens as they also stole the aliens suit, basically the aliens wouldn't be happy knowing that their is another race out their with their replicated technology which has the chance of being a threat to the aliens, in the near final act it shows the MC full potential and why she's clearly a threat to the aliens as she used her powers to pull the ship Ra from the water by using water, which shows she's the strongest being at the current moment, after ra is destroyed she and her father fake her death bumpy having a funeral with her reputation being seen as a villain in everyone's eyes except her friends, it's revealed she's alive and she leaving earth with Hawkins she then uses her powers to create for herself and Hawkins their own big ship with its own technology, which is another reason why the aliens didn't want her alive, she could literally replicate their technology with water, with her and father giving each other a farewell, and leaving the audience with the question now, "will their be another sequel?". imo I liked the plot in the 2nd more then the 1st

The first movie, Attraction (2017), was really good. It was pretty complex. I admit I was really surprised Russia has this level of movie making capabilities. The CGI is excellent. I've seen more movies made in Russia because of the first movie. I looked forward to seeing this one too.

@@jessiemccrea6274 ex boyfriend was a total nut job and you wanted him to die. The Alien not only died for her after living 70K years but gave her part of his lifeforce to save her. The first movie was a serious action movie with some of the best dad lines in any movie. My favorite was when the Alien and his daughter confronted him to stop an attack on the ship he ordered his men to take her home and to take the boy to Siberia.
Kid was cucked by an alien. 🤦 He should have left her deal with her own problems too bad simps end up finding the harshest way.

I love this movie because no one's truly in the absolute wrong. Ra is pissed that it's technology was so missused, the general wants people to stop dying and to protect his daughter, the vice wants the threat gone but doesn't want people to die, everyobe has a good cause, the movie is about how the causes conflict
So this film is a sequel to Attraction, which is another film with one of the best destruction sequence and robot vs alien fights ever made.

Nah, if you owned a scuba diving shop you'd be safe. Just grab a couple tanks of oxygen and you can ride that shit out for hours. Looks like they got submerged in water from the top and the bottom but as soon as the two meet up then you can start floating to the surface in a life raft or sum. Since people survived after it ended then the receding water isn't too dangerous. They kind've glanced over how many old people, cripples, and babies would die from that being unable to swim and all tho. Even if it only lasted a couple minutes there's definitely a lot of people who got trapped in a building or car and drowned or got sandwiched in between a car when the waves started pushing everything

the problem with movies like these are that the aliens would never have lost in reality, the fact that Ra was beaten by humans is laughable, especially when it's tech is centuries ahead of our own, besides it should be way more intelligent anyway, it would be like playing Chess against a chimp.

Weapons are weapons. Just because they're not as advanced as the alien weapons, doesn't mean that the aliens are untouchable. It was their fault for assuming they're invincible just because they have better weapons.
You could bring a gun to a knife fight and still get hurt.
Once you start thinking like: "Oh, a knife/axe is a close-range weapon, I'll be fine if I stay away", you've already lost. A man who's practiced using knives all his life also knows how to throw them. His close-range weapon is also his long-range weapon, because it's his only weapon. People can become very resourceful in desperate situations.

Look at the Armenia-Azerbajdzjan war that took place last year, the Armenians got totally obliterated by Israeli and Turkish drones, now we are talking about an alien civ that is obviously centuries ahead of us....
