Ken Brown was first and foremost one of our dearest friends, an avid supporter of our music and finally - one of my best music tech students. Sadly - we lost Ken in June of 2010 just weeks after I had supplied and trained him on his shiny new Cubase workstation. He was already doing some great work on older versions but me being me - I always pushed him just a little harder ;-) My wife Pauly and I also talked Ken into finally auctioning the old guitar amp he used during the Quarrymen gigs and to our shock - the amp fetched in excess of £6,000.00!!! It was a turning point for Ken as it had allowed him to upgrade his much older gear - get a new guitar and the rest. He has been sorely missed by me and my family but we have such fond memories and they keep Ken well and truly alive in this household! I'd still like to know why there was a separate wake after his service at the crem as I know he would have wanted us to be there. Will have to ask around ;-)
