- What's up boxing family! so recently I saw an interview on the @ManoukAkopyan channel with Mexican Monster David Benavidez!!! here are my thoughts on what David had to say from becoming PPV star after beating Canelo to his plans in his career LETS TALK BOXING!!!
Benavides is the biggest hype job next to Tank... All talk.
Until he builds a name for himself aside from the canelo hopeful killer than yes I agree
Plain and simple Canelo is the king because he has been fighting in different way divisions and taking them belts

I think the main reason that Crawford is calling out Canelo is to get on that big stage and make that big money that he has NOT been able to get and if anybody wants to argue this, I will be glad to prove it. There is rich and then there is multi-million dollar rich, and that road is through Canelo.
I like Benavidez but keep it real David is worth more with the idea that Canelo is ducking him because if he fought him and lost there’s really no big push behind him

You stated Alvarez’ team is concerned with Benavidez’ size..
Munguia,Bivol,Plant,C.Smith, Korvalev, Jacobs, Fielding and Chavez Jr. All these fighters above 6 feet in height.
Alvarez’ team real concerned with Benavidez Power, Speed, Stamina and youth. Yes Benavidez has flaws but all fighters do however it would seem he has the edge to win in a fight against Alvarez at this point.
That’s why he priced tagged himself for that fight. He won’t fight for a normal wage because it’s bye bye money. I disagree with this point because if he fights him win or loose he would regain the amount of respect all greats get.
Benavidez respects Alvarez hence the reason why he didn’t trash talk during his last fight. The ball was on Alvarez court to invite him in the ring just like giving him an opportunity for a fight. Benavidez wants the respect of the people, just like De La Hoya against Chavez he took on the marketing Chavez created by being respectful.
Benavidez not only wants to fight Alvarez but he wants his fans and marketing and staying and maintaining a good sportsmanship image is important.

How's it going brother, so I get this alot but it's not the height I'm talking about it's David's natural size David probably naturally walks around at 220 230 because naturally he's massive! It's why come fight night he looks sick at 168 he can Mae weight yes but naturally he's a huge 168 fighter

Yeah he seems to pudge up a bit during fights no doubt, just like Hatton, Jake La Motta Bowe but he comes in on weight and until that becomes illegal it’s fair game.
My perspective on things are if weight is an issue, how come Alvarez was okay to fight, Khan, Lopez, Cotto, Charlo all smaller guys.
I think Alvarez would dominate at 160 but he’s just coasting at 168 picking and choosing who he fights and that kills the sport in my opinion.

I dont know about Benavidez beating Gvozdyk. Gvozdyk was a good fighter before he retired. He was holding his own vs Beterbiev until hr got folded...Gvozdyk was a more complete boxer than Benavidez. If Gvozdyk comes at 85% of what he used to be...he is even money to beat Benavidez

Canelo fights all these European bums as opposed to David Benavidez fighting who? 160 pound Andrade, Angulo, Gavril, Limieux, Ellis, Dirrell, all of them 34 years and older, washed and on their way out… At least Canelo’s opponents were Champions…

You need fans that love you or hate you to bring in ppv buys. Canelo and Floyd, in that order. Floyd is not Mexican, but he got ppv's, so your theory of being Mexican has no merit.
