I'm hoping to take on Pike's Peak with a pickup diesel as well one day! Keep trying!

Have you thought about compounding with a turbo and a supercharger like Gale Bank's is doing with the Duramax so you guys will have boost at the lower RPM below the crossover of the turbo spool up. Noticed the lag because of the bigger turbo to get the most air density and power at higher elevations!

it would still blow up. due to them having poor Oil pickup tube location. their 6.0Ls they ran and blew up the 3 of them they all blew the motors up because they kept a stock Oil pickup. 7.3 would have same issue not to mention 7.3 is a larger motor. dimension wise. heavier as well.. and the advantage of the 6.0L higher Revs and VGT turbocharger. and Extremely strong bottom end. you have to think their hopped up 6.0L ran at full bore with nitrous potentially starving the engine of oil for a good 5 minutes or so. the oil pickup was getting just enough oil to run the injectors but not enough to lube lower

@@justnsaliga8518 i thought this same thing. The only other engine type that would make sense really for diesels is either detroit or cummins. 6.4 powerstroke has same issues as 6.0 and 7.3. I think a 12 valve cummins would do wonders, not to mentions its an inline 6 so its much lighter and much more narrow.

@@eric2956 I'm pretty sure the record holder is a Cummins.
