Latchi Beach - Where sea and mountains meet
From the city of Paphos you only need about 45 minutes to get to Polis / Latchi. This small, idyllic fishing village's in the north-west of Cyprus is a popular but nevertheless very quiet coastal town and has many beautiful beaches - perfect for a relaxed day trip. With its beautiful sandy beaches and impressive rock formations, nearby Akamas National Park and the Baths of aphrodite is a very popular attraction.
A beach day at Latchi Beach
A visit to a fish tavern in Latchi is a must. The small fishing village has a harbour where local fishermen still follow the traditional craft and supply the local restaurants with their daily catch. Directly on the beach you will find a very popular fish tavern. There you can get freshly caught fish, lobster and homemade ice cream. From the restaurant you have a fantastic view over the bay. At Latchi Beach the sea meets the mountains of Cyprus. A unique panorama that you will not find a second time on the Mediterranean island. On the beach there is a very cosy beach bar, which invites with a lot of flair to enjoy fresh cocktails with the feet in the sand. On deckchairs and hammocks you can relax and let the day pass by.
Activities at Latchi Beach
A little adventure in paradise? Then book a boat trip to Akamas National Park and explore Blue Lagoon, probably the best insider tip in Cyprus.
Tourist boats depart several times a day from Latchi Beach and undertake small tours with the holidaymakers. Diving friends can also be pleased: At Latchi Beach you will find diving schools that dive into the impressive underwater world with divers, whether beginner, advanced or professional.

Love Latchi, but the mosquitoes absolutely kill the enjoyment. I even stayed in the harbour and had to cancel the rest of my week and go back to paphos harbour to avoid being bitten anymore. It was the last place I felt real peace and quiet though and that is what I remember. The fish restaurants are very good. Go to Polis for a walk about if you get the chance.
