  • US journalist Megyn Kelly has publicly expressed support for presenter Piers Morgan, after he quit his role as host of Good Morning Britain following his comments on Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
She told BBC News, “We are cracking down on free speech in a way that I find really alarming.”
Morgan sparked over 41,000 complaints to media regulator Ofcom after saying he “didn’t believe a word” of Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which she discussed suicidal thoughts.

Piers has a right to his opinion as a private citizen, as long as he is not contractually bound to exclude certain actions or categories of speech by contact with his employer. Piers ‘freedom of speech’ only applies to government censorship or retaliation, not to private entities such as his employer. As Piers was using his employer’s program, GMB, owned by ITV, a private company, to express allegedly slanderous opinions of the D. of Sussex, Piers has no freedom of speech protections at all. GMB and ITV were forced to terminate Piers to limit their own legal exposure. The ‘freedom of speech’ Piers’ cites is just rhetorical, as this ‘protection’ does not apply to him or his actions in this case.

The man who left us as nothing but a USA lapdog, and slaves to the New York banks? Same man who made sure details about Rudolf Hess coming to Britain for a peace plan were hidden? Britain is nothing any more. Especially since Tories did the opposite to Germany in the 80s when they made millions unemployed, blamed them for being unemployed, destroyed whole communities and left us with an economy closely linked with USA banks encouraging greed and debt, so the economy crashed by the early 90s, and every few years since after the USA when many can't pay back the debts they're encouraged to live on.
When Thatcher didn't like the EU preventing Tories mistreating British people, such as EU saying workers should have enough breaks and genetically modified ingredients should be labelled, the secret service whistle blower David Shayler told how she was using British money to go along with the USA funding Al Qaeda in Libya against Gaddafi. A country people didn't pay household bills, while more old British people were dying of cold than before Tories stole and sold off public owned energy. When British tourists were shot in Tunisia, what media reminded people our own government funded them?
I'm jealous Scotland have the chance of a brighter future by having another vote to leave the UK, to become a separate nation in the EU and/or be like other north European countries with politicians who work for the people. Devolution has already allowed Scotland to counteract what England voted for, with Scottish students having free university while English students are around £50,000 in debt at the start of their life.
