    I haven't heard good old-timey singin' and shoutin' at this level in such a long time! Wow!!! Thank God for Jesus!!! Went in the water in Jesus' name way back in 1990, & ain't never regretted it ONE IOTA!!!! I used to be Trinitarian until I found out that there is only 1 person in the Godhead, that being Jesus. Read John 5:43, where Jesus told the crowd "I am come in my father's NAME". He also told the disciples in John 14:26 that the spirit of truth, which is the Holy Ghost would come IN HIS NAME!!! All of the Godhead IS in Jesus name! The bible points this out CLEARLY! Why would we believe some Trinitarian lie that divides the Godhead into 3 separate "persons"? The Bible doesn't, & never did! The same devils that came up with that demonic bunch of dregs is the same group (Catholics) that want you and I to bow down to a Pope that, just a few years ago, in a ceremony that they conducted, declared Lucifer to be God. Me? Go along with that? NEVER! I finish with these words:Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever!!!!!!!

    I am Baptized in Jesus' name and spoke in tongues at 13 years old. Most of my family is COGIC The church of God in Christ was well established before the PAW. Let's do the math My family just came from their 108 th annual COGIC convocation. Our PAW convention just celebrated 100 years. YOU do the math which one is older!........... but really who cares? Incidentally, my COGIC family lives more of a Godly life than many of the people in the PAW. There are unsaved people in both the COGIC and the PAW!

    • @TShuga
      @TShuga  Před 8 lety +2

      You're right that COGIC is older. It was founded in 1897.
      However, the PAW celebrated its 100th convention in 2015, not its 100th year since being founded. It was actually founded 110 years ago, in 1906. They didn't have actual convention for the first several years of existence.

      Too much heresies among st them and lack of sound doctrine. The curse does not come without cause. They need to repent and turn to the scripture and get all the sin and worldliness out.

    I live my organization so much it pains me to see how small we've gotten when it comes to the venues. When I looked at this video and past videos I remember how the size was respectable but now we having the 2018 convention in a spot that barely holds 2900 saints in it. What is going on?

  • @devantecooley
    @devantecooley Před 10 lety +4

    Bishop CH Mason was never PAW and the COGIC was formed long before the PAW Bishop Mason even licensed some members in the PAW and UPC despite different doctrine beliefs so mark boyd stop lying saying he broke off.

    • @TShuga
      @TShuga  Před 8 lety +5

      No need to be so harsh with Mark Boyd, as to tell him stop lying.
      Fact is that you are right. COGIC was founded before the PAW, as a holiness organization in 1897. It became pentecostal after Bishop Mason went to Azusa Street in 1906 and received the gift of tongues.
      The PAW was founded out of the Azusa Street revival in 1906.
      That is (perhaps) where people make their mistake. Bishop Mason was there with the PAW folks in L.A. during the Azusa Street revival, but he was never a part of the PAW. They were just in close fellowship, in those early days.

    U.P.C also came out of the P.A.W the white folks left because they didn't want to drink out of the same water fountain as the minority and they were supposed to have been save. But a few years ago the presiding bishop of the U.P.C came to the P.A.W convention and apologized. This is also in the minute books

    • @TShuga
      @TShuga  Před 6 lety +1

      It is true that the founders of the UPC were members of the PAW, many years earlier. It is also true that they left the PAW over racial issues. However, I have never heard anything about water fountains. It "is" documented that they had a problem having their ministerial licenses signed by a Black minister and they proposed having racially segregated meetings, etc.

  • @easyice1
    @easyice1 Před 6 lety

    I'm sorry I'm late with the answer but P.A.W is the oldest. Bishop Mason came out of the P.A.W and started C.O.G.I.C . He left because they would not make him presiding bishop. They were ego tripping back then just like they are now with everybody giving themselves the title of bishop and having church in their apartments. Masons story is documented in the P.A.W minute book.

    • @TShuga
      @TShuga  Před 6 lety +1

      The history is actually a little different than you noted above. It is true that Bishop Mason and the founders of the PAW were both at Azusa Street, and they did fellowship together. However, the Church of God in Christ was begun by Mason and Charles Price Jones prior to the Azusa Street Revival ( in 1896). The P.A.W. began from the Azusa Street Revival (1906).
      It was after Mason received the gift of tongues at Azusa Street that he and Jones parted company, because Jones did not believe in tongues. This is when the COGIC became Pentecostal and located its headquarters in Memphis (1906). Jones then founded the Church of Christ (Holiness).
      There is no evidence that Mason was ever a member of the PAW. He did, however, have strong fellowship with them in the early years. He was also close friends with the PAW's Garfield T. Haywood, as well as with William J. Seymour (leader of the Azusa Street Revival).
