    Captiveaire has a pretty good video on their YT channel for the hood control package start up and troubleshooting. Not saying you aren't a smart guy and can't figure it out. More like FYI. Another great video Rick

    I was just looking at a CaptiveAire unit yesterday and thought the same thing about the information on the nameplate. Something so simple but yet often overlooked by other equipment manufacturers. Nice job.

    One thing I've noticed on is those units is if they have screens downstairs right outside of the hood they tend to get plugged over time and sometimes go unnoticed and affect in heat mode and lower the differential across the burner. First time took me 3 different visits to figure out. Also have had quite a few discharge sensors and amplifier go bad lately

      Call the factory, they can get you the informative you need to properly diagnose it. That would be the safest bet.

    How come they don’t create co ?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  Před rokem +1

      CO is a result of incomplete combustion, when you're bringing in 100% outside air directly behind the burner you have little room for it to not burn clean.

    One word of caution, you should never switch the disconnect on the unit on or off while the VFD is sending it power. It can damage the VFD. Best bet is to turn it off at the breaker first then switch the disconnect.

    I do not like Lenze drives. They always develop problems that are so vague in their description. I've had atleast 6 in the past few months. Everything from com errors to hairline cracks in the circuit boards.
