I was totally blown away by the uniqueness of the first Cab Franc I tasted.

We also have a few single varietals of Cab Franc made from different regions here in Australia by a handful of Wineries such as Mount Mary(Yarra Valley) or Brash Higgins(McLaren Vale).

Great video. I love cool-climate Cab Franc from Niagara and the Okanagan, as well as the Loire. I find the green bell pepper notes refreshing and food-friendly.

Cab Franc...one of the great wines, yet mostly unknown by wine drinkers. When made properly, Cab Franc is a fantastic complex wine. I have some stellar examples from Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County here in Calif.

paso is a bit too hot for really good cab franc, but im closer to the coast in arroyo grande and I feel that my wine is true to french style and has all the complexity you expect.

Niagara Region also produces Cabernet Franc Reds. Not just Icewine. Tawse, and Peller Estate are just a small sample. Oh yeah, they're 100% non blended.
