  • The Wunderlich saddlebag protection bars work hand in hand with our engine protection bars to protect your R1200 RT from expensive damage in the event of a tip over or fall. The clever design also allows quick removal for those occasions when you choose to ride without the saddlebags. The bars are available powder coated black or silver and also chrome plated.

Just fitted mine this evening. The pin in the footpegs were seized on my 2018 rt lc, so they were quite difficult to remove. But got it done with some help.

Some one here in America ought to make these bars, a private person, not company, they could be made just a bit different so they would not cost so much, bars of this type never used to cost this much money and yes I am complaining as I've been riding a long time and adding a lot of crash bars to different bikes since the early 70's, I've made my own at one time, NO, I did not want to get a company for them going and was not interested in making a lot of money, people need crash bars to save their bodies and their bikes, if I had a welding machine now I would build my own, have them tested and go.

Hey, I live in the UK and recently bought a set of Wunderlich rear protection bars for my 2015 R1200RT LC. Trouble is, I have some issues fitting them to then exhaust side of my bike, the bars are too close to the exhaust, actually touching them(?). Do you have a video showing the fitting of the bars to the exhaust side of the bike please? Thanks,Neil.

How about the slick tape procedure on a 1600gt? Will it work so I don’t have to remove panels?

I suggest that you tell people the model year of the bike that this set of bars fits.
