Regardless of the true historical location, (Nineveh instead of Baylon), and of the orographical features, as properly observed below, this is a masterpiece, a mix of evocative feelings and graphical skill, that is art.
The real one looked like the one from Alexander the Great movie. They spend years studying everything there was to know of Babylon. It’s cgi the effect but nevertheless they got it close to the real one once was.
And what's more, archaeologists who can decipher cuneiform texts have searched through hundreds of writings by Nebuchadnezzar & found no mention of gardens whatsoever. So if the HG existed at all, they had to have been built in another city by another king. Oxford Uni's Dr. Stephanie Dalley believes the HG were built in Nineveh by the Assyrian king Sennacherib.
..... A valid and true scientific response.... And one that has an intelligent explanation... You sir, would be very correct in your asssement. Dr.Stephanie Dalley is right on target. She is one of the world's foremost experts on Mesopotamian civilizations, and it was she who uncovered updated translations of the ancient texts. It was indeed King Sennacherib... for Sennacherib was the king of Assyria from 705 BCE to 681 BCE. And He is principally remembered for his military campaigns against Babylon and Judah, and noted for his building programs. The gardens were in Nineveh, near the current-day city of Mosul, Iraq. This changes the location of the hanging gardens from Babylon to Assyria.
@@LionofJudah777 Correct. However, at the time, Nineveh was part of the Babylonian Empire, so the Hanging Gardens would have been in the empire of "Babylon", just not in the city of Babylon itself. It would perhaps be more accurate to call them the "Hanging Gardens of Babylonia".
I think they used Aquaponics to achieve this .. Creates pools of water with fish for fertilization acting as fountain through out the beds of pebbles which also cleans the water for the fish. It makes sense that they would of figured this out through creating irrigation and plumbing. I think the one we have on record may also be the only one remaining that was observed or written about. I wonder if it was an earlier invention that was refined over the decades
I remember those beautiful hanging colorful flowers hanging down over the wall i.mean they were something to see all gone. This was one of the wonders of the world and they are gone hope they come back some how.

Nouhaila Lamsiah Hi sister ...the hanging gardens were real, it's the king at the time built it and gave it as a present to his wife. They say the people created a water supply to the plantation all around and above the hanging gardens using physics ...that the water use to flow upwards. Till this day no one knows how to build it ...and when saddam was president he told architects that he will give them alot of money if they can build the same as that, but they said sorry we dont know how. Most of the Iraqis know about that story today.
@@adi0sd1eg03 Saddam Hussein was deeply influenced by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. When we were in school, he had effective values, from Nebuchadnezzar to Saddam.
The problem with this is that the Hanging Gardens weren't in the city of Babylon, but in the empire of Neo-Babylonia. Specifically, they were in Nineveh, as Stephanie Dalley's "The Mystery of the Hanging Garden of Babylon" convincingly shows.
Nice video great job you have also show the Tower of Babel but you forget about ishtar gate and the processional way which was one of the ancient wonder later was replaced by lighthouse of alexandria .
Artists have a tendency to over embellish what things once looked like. I personally doubt it looked that extravagant with all those fountains. And some historians believe the hanging gardens that Babylon is attributed with was actually in Nineveh during the NEO Assyrian empire. I personally believe that Babylon was once a sprawling city, but was more like just a lot of brick cubicle like structures instead of grandiose stone buildings like we might see in modern day Dubai.
Good but along with the issues other commenters have mentioned the Tower of Babel never actually existed and was likely a mythicized version one of the many Ziggurats in the region.
Nice but the tower is Babel in the back was a pyramidal ziggurat as opposed to the circular tower depicted here. I get it though that rendering comes from a famous painting of the tower.
Plot twist: This guy travelled back in time to see the real Hanging Gardens and then recreated what he saw in his/her 3D software.
An entirely possible explanation for the photorealism present
I would have loved to see this redone again!
So the "hanging" part were actually terraces. I sort of imagined suspended gardens...
Terraces and they had trees but they also had vines and plants that hung from those balconies. Thus hanging gardens.

It’s real impressive. But I wonder how accurate it is compared to the real one thousand years ago

Nice animation, the only thing is that Babylon is not surrounded by mountains or hills.

And that cylindrical tower in the background does not seem very accurate either
