This is a great lesson… your right …you are a very good teacher , love watching.. I am dedicating my day tomorrow to practice these roses. It’s my favorite flower and the one I can’t seem to paint( and I’m painting for at least 40 years ) took oil lessons first Taught myself acrylics then painted Donna Dewberry for years and now I paint a lot of different ways… about 3 years ago I watched you paint I bought all the supplies but I couldn’t get it right . I have a better understanding now and have been watching all kinds of your lessons… so tomorrow I paint😃🎨

I've looked for videos on understanding color but found nothing that helped until now. This is so helpful. I've been seeing colors in colors since I was a child, but to use colors in painting, which I'm just beginning to do, I am clueless. I see different color grays, greens in blues, yellows and reds in browns, and different color blacks. I see the colors in colors everywhere I look. I found a video of yours with a color wheel in which you explain some of the science behind it, which is a great video I need to watch again. And now I'm looking for any other videos you have made about colors. This video is priceless!! Thank you!

At 77, painting and selling since 5th grade, liberal arts degree, experience in commercial art, you are giving me technical information that is completely new to this very experienced artist. I feel so ignorant not to have known or realized all that you so beautifully reveal to us. I appreciate your chemistry background and knowledge as I have 3 chemical engineers and 3 electrical engineers in my immediate family. Being dyslexic and right brain, I am enlightened by your thought process in painting such gorgeous work, with your issues using your 'scientific' mind....well, just so informative. You excel at conveying and sharing with us your immense knowledge and journey in getting to this point. Much thanks and appreciation.

Wow , thankyou ., so did you put , lean your grey plywood on it then? This easel would be at least $1000 in New Zealand lol
Oh I see that you have clamped the plywood, , genius
I also built 5 of these from scrap wood. They are larger. The hardware cost me about $15 each. Love these easels. The key is to make a wide base so they can support larger canvases. For my larger studio easel, yes it is expensive but the frame expands to hold a HUGE canvas.
