The good thing about Jeweler’s copies is the very low premium. I bought some 21k coins almost at spot price (premium was only around $5 per coin). perfect for investment!!!

That's fantastic!! Guessing not in Australia because they would incur GST

I have a question ... how do jewellers make such high quality copy coins ... surely they dont have the pressess that mints do and also how do they copy all the details on the front and back of the coin?

Hi, as a French guy, I can tell you that's certainly a "Refrappe Pinay de 1960". It is a true gold coin, but pinkier than the original, true gold copies that had been made by the French government during the 60s to honour these beautiful coins. It is a little bit like the remade 50 pesos of 1949.

I happened to buy my first $200 koala today. I was eyeing the sovereigns in the store and fancied buying something from the mid 19th century. After watching this video I'm glad I went with the koala! I won't be buying any sovereigns. I don't know if the dealer scanned them. I have no way to tell if they're real. At least with a proof koala it's another hurdle to fake.

A jeweler's copy is still plain counterfeiting, no matter what fancy name they wish to use. Need a 1960 Florin? Go buy one. Don't counterfeit it. Would it be okay for me to go and make a 1881CC Morgan dollar just because I really need one? Of course not.

Michael if your self an honest person, should tell this gold coin faker Not to be honest. Whole the idea to make some thing fake is to steal from some body .honour amongst the thieves.
