    One thing I've noticed about Skool is that a lot of people have almost no real engagement beyond the 'hello' post. I always check what percentage of their community is on level 1. One of the biggest guys on Skool right now has like 91% of people on level 1. Pretty much zero engagement. I made 2 posts and I'm nearly on level 2. I'd be on the top 8% of his community and I've done nothing.

      That's just how communities work overall. 95% of people are just readers while the other 5% will be more active. It's normal behavior of online communities

      This is just what it looks like when people are starting something new. After months of consistency... or not... then you see who has stuck with it and still generates content and does active outreach and builds something with the engagement and activity you are looking for. 20% or less of people will stick with it and do what it takes to build something because things come up for people and they give up. I wouldn't worry too much about seeing this. If you are just noticing it, you will start to notice it everywhere. It's the same in every online space.

      That’s a really good point. I suppose you have to incentivise active members. For example, a community I am in rewards the number 1 spot on the leaderboard with a free consultation call every month. But another way is just to price your community higher so that you only have serious people in your community. If I pay someone $100 a month, you bet I’m gonna be active there

    Hey, I appreciate your take on this G. Yes, it’s trendy but Skool has substance that can easily be missed or misunderstood. I also joined (and soon left) communities that looked cool, but I didn’t feel like I belonged there. I don’t just walk into random places and chat up everyone like we’re instantly cool - nor do I do that online. But the right group is a combination of shared goals, respect for each other and wanting the “community leader” to succeed. There’s more to it, of course, but I like how you advised would-be band-wagoners to go into this with their eyes wide open. Anxious to see how this shapes up in the next few months. Great video!

    This was very helpful Gusten, thank you. I enjoy making comedy content here on YT. I have been thinking about what I could bring to Skool and how to bring value for even a free community there, as I don’t particularly know what to teach or what journey to take my audience on. But this video has helped me gain some new perspectives. Hope we meet someday, you seem like an awesome energy & super intelligent too!

    I’m really curious to see if Skool can evolve to a social network for communities or if it goes into the direction of “just” having your courses and communities there and not caring that much about distributing others’ communities (“algo”).
    The first one sounds very interesting although the question is for me: Can they make everything great all in one or should they focus on what they are doing now 🧐.
    Either way, enjoying the Funnel Grandmaster community a LOT and also FFD/FU. If someone is still not sure whether to buy it - buy it 😄

    Skool needs to evolve to be effective. Sam stated his goal was to have 1 million people sign up to $99.00 per month, which would bring Skool in 1.2 billion a year if prices stayed the same. Alex has stated that tech /software companies are valued at 10 - 20x income. That would give skool a valuation of 12 -24 billion dollars if their goal was reached. Then they will probably take it public and cash out!

    Skool is not like an MLM.
    This is the biggest problem I see with it.
    It doesn't help you get members to your community in any way.

    • @Mila-Kae
      @Mila-Kae Před 5 měsíci +2

      As long as you provide real value and do some type of content distribution - people will find you. The better the content within the community the higher the success. MLM isn't the only option to grow. Skool is a baby still, will grow and improve :)
