This reminds me of the granny square that creative grandma posted a video on probably a year ago or so. I crocheted several of these to gift someone and they love them so much. Not only are they beautiful but they’re very fun to crochet.

I started this square, then decided to keep going continuing to do those 2 rows. I'm making this into a blanket for my bigger brother. Using alot of variety of colors. Square keeps getting bigger. I started this, this morning, and I manage to get more than 10 rows done in one day. So thank you for a simple stitch pattern and it's not you usual granny squares.

Went bad to see your kitty. What a cutie. Mine passed away the first year of covid of Cat cancer, So to hear your was like getting a hug. I was just thinking, if one used cotton yarn this would make an excellent hot pad for the kitchen. The texture would give it a little extra lift.
