    Does it have an option that will randomly dim and turn off individual lights in a particular color? I think it would look nice to stay with white light with them randomly dimming..

    Silly question for ya, how many pins are on that screw connector that comes out of the power supply/controller? I kinda want to try to convert a set of these to WLED but I I don't know what kind of chips they're using. The amount of pins might give it away. Thanks.

    Awesome video!! I'm mostly convinced to purchase after watching this... a few questions that may push me over edge... how's the brightness when at full ? Do you feel it's pretty good ? Also, now that you've had it for some time; any issues with them at all ?

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks Chad, I use these lights on a Smart plug Schedule that turns on every evening. Working awesome. The colors aren't very bright, almost like a glow from a campfire in color. But, the warm white as seen near the end of the video is useful enough for cozy useful lighting on a patio....brighter and more useful light for walking around and seeing peoples faces clearly. Hope this helps. -Todd

    Do you have to use all 48ft? My house is about 1/8th the size of this house and 48 ft would be far too big for my small UK garden

    Thanks, I needed to know how bright they were before ordering for my porch. Also, if I put these on a switched outlet, will it remember last setting? And, if I set a schedule, is it stored in my phone app? (If phone is off, will they still come on?) Thank You. BTW _GREAT_ video editing! 😘💖

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Nunya, YES, they remember the last setting. I'm not sure about the schedule question. I'm using a smart switch that handles the schedule and ALEXA "on-off" commands. Thanks for watching! -Todd

  • @idiggplants

    always hard to tell brightness from videos, so ill ask a question that you can hopefully answer... It looks like the illumination mode is very bright but the color modes are quite dim... We have an 8' wide bridge with 4' high railings between our house and parking lot. Would running one strip on the railings down each side be bright enough in the color modes to see where you are walking? We don't need it brightly illuminated, just enough to see where you are walking. We were hoping to just leave it in different color modes based off of the season and not have to change it to illumination mode. Thanks!

    • @twHomeShow
      @twHomeShow  Před 2 měsíci

      You're correct...when you change to the "colors" they are a dimmer light. But if you just want colored light with a nice glow, I think they will light your path just fine. Change to whites if you want it very bright on your path....they are also dimmable as well. Thank you and best of luck with your project :) -Todd

      @@twHomeShow thanks so much! i think im going to get them, and if they don't work on my bridge, they will be repurposed to my deck and ill get some of the exorbitantly expensive "permanent" lights from govee to do the bridge.

    • @twHomeShow

      About 32" of cord to the Govee power brick, then another 30 to 40" to the plug.

    These are trash for outdoor use. Bought two strands and ran them in series on my deck. After any rain I have to empty water out of every single bulb cover. Not for outdoor use. And for the price, pssh, fuck that, I'll get the same quality from an Amazon set.
