      Checo too ! Think about how another driver like Lando could do in the other RedBull ! Sure its tough being Max's teammate just as it is being Hamilton's, Alonso's, or any other championship winning driver's teammate! It's tough being a F1 driver period ! Theyre the fastest and most demanding cars any driver could ever race !

      As a redbull and max fan I kinda haft to agree I think max should ask his dad to take a step back I wonder if things would change but tbh a part of me thinks either way
      This type of drama will be around I mean all last season everyone calling redbull cheaters just to have three investigations prove their innocence

  • @Rimpianto

    The weakness is a cost cap limit that makes sure that who starts on top of a new regulation cycle stays on top for the entire period.
    Not even Max and Newey managed to catch up to Merc with last regulations if not at the very end of a very long cycle (that allowed Merc to plateau and the others to get closer), and only won because FIA decided so.

    • @F1Unchained
      @F1Unchained  Před 3 měsíci +15

      The cost cap definitely hinders teams that are behind but allows for smaller teams to have a better chance. It’s a tricky situation

    • @dylanburston7453

      Ferrari has proved thats not the case. They got rid of alot of their issues in 2023 with in season development, and made them their strength over the winter.
      AM and Mclaren has proved that you can go from 7th to 3rd ish.
      The Issue was that TD039 and the ride heigt increase brought about by Mercedes ruined everyone elses concepts. Ferrari, on raw pace, were in a championship battle with RB. But TF039 made the Ferrari weaker, and the more efficient RB stronger, leading to 2023

      @@dylanburston7453Seriously, I don't see how people could watch Aston's stunning early-2023 performance or McLaren's mega comeback over the season and still think the cost cap is the issue. The only problem with the CC is it restricts very expensive upgrades for facilities, but Aston already got a waiver for that and Williams likely should as well, but in terms of bringing upgrades and developing a competitive car, Ferrari, AM, and McLaren have all proven that the CC is really not an object.

    • @TheoF1
      @TheoF1 Před 3 měsíci +3

      I don't really agree with what you're saying tbh. Merc were always the biggest cash spenders during their dominance so they had a bigger advantage than Redbull have rn, then we have to add that Redbull had a penalty for this season that cost them about 1-2 tenths (or maybe the penalty was last season I don't fully remember). And Redbull only caught up because of a mix of Merc trying to put early resources towards 2022 and the reg change going in favor or high rake concepts like Redbull for 2021.
      But if FIA decided that the cost cap was the reason there could easily be adjusments to how much you're allowed to spend depending on where you finished in the WCC

    • @ok-dy2tz
      @ok-dy2tz Před 3 měsíci +6

      tbh the issue is a combination of things. Engine freeze = teams cant make PU gains to try and catch red bull. Cost cap = teams cant spend to catch up. Combine this with how restrictive the actual technical regulations are and you have the situation were in now. Zack brown said it best - we already have a cost cap so teams should be allowed more freedom in car design. It's such an over regulated sport .

    I feel like Merc can easily challenge for podium finishes, but that cooling issue is really impacting the performance. They were losing about 0.5 seconds every lap in bahrain because of that. I think that Merc has resolved most of its issues with aero, and if they resolve their cooling issue, I think they would faster than Ferrari. Merc obviously can't fight red bulls cus they are in a different realm atm.

      The cooling issue was just them choosing the wrong louvres package on the car for a tiny bit less drag. They made the wrong call and lost a lot of time because of it.
      It's not a fundamental issue with the car, it was basically a setup error.

Not saying dude needs to cut his dad off. He just needs to distance himself from jos. Jos got what he wanted; to win the championship he never could vicariously through his son. Formula 1 where the top 5 teams except redbull are just going to exchange places on track to track.

      Singapore has more to do with the bumpiness of the circuit (ride hide!), less with the slow speed corners I think. We will see.

    Ok so if Mercedes really lost up to 5 tenths in the due to engine problems then they should be on par with Red Bull correct?? I’m going off what Toto said IF that’s true…. Idk I’ll wait til Jeddah to jump to conclusions, idk seems to good to be true atm.

    Only reason Lewis qualified poorly was because he left a 50lbs dumbbell in the cockpit from his earlier workout session, obviously overweight=slow Quali.

    Andretti should buy the 2nd Red Bull team. In the budget cap era ITS INSANE that Red Bull has the privilege to own 2 teams! F1 should FORCE them to sell the team that was Damaging their income just until 2 months ago. Cmon...The only reason Alpha Tauri existed was to help even more the Red Bull team in many ways...

    It's time for the Perez to do something special, F1 is becoming boring and predictable. We dont see racing anymore. It would be nice if both RB drivers were giving us something to look forward to like Hamilton and Nico. Looks like Ferrari driver battle will be the one to watch this season as Carlos trying to prove a point.

    I have long advocated, that the points system and start order system should be changed, and this would make racing exciting.
    Everyone should start in reverse grid order. Why?
    Because points will be given out for position's gained. The team that qualifies fastest, has the highest potential for gaining positions, which nets more points.
    If someone Q'd 1st, they would start 20'th, and if they gain all 19 available positions. If you keep your position, you get 1 point.

    Redbull current major weakness is indeed the team consists of the father, the advisor and the driver. Please replace them with Vittel. No more weaknesses.
