Tallest Skyscraper in Canada | Downtown Toronto walking tour
A Toronto summer walk starting at (The One) or 1 Bloor Street West. The tallest tower in Canada under construction at the intersection of Yonge and Bloor Street, Downtown Toronto. I make my way along Bloor Street, then along the iconic Yonge Street, passing through Wellesley Street, College Street, Gerrad Street, Yonge Dunds Square, Queen Street To King Street, continuing a pleasant evening walk along it we will see large installations of see through, shimmering balls at the Luminato Festival 2024 and Evanescent the Multi Arts Festival.
The One, also known as 1 Bloor Street West, is a supertall tower under construction located at the busiest intersection at the corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets in Toronto.
In 2015, the impressive 85-storey tower was launched with a budget of $1.3 billion with SKYGRiD take over the construction. The deadline for its construction is set for December 31, 2022. The One has been designed as a multi-faceted project, featuring 416 residential units, 175 apartments, and a collection of diverse retail stores and restaurants. But, there were obstacles facing the project that affected the construction completion timetable and budget.
